What Assad did is as dispicable, only at this time on a smaller scale.

Saying Jews weren't "his people" is disingenuous. No matter how much power a leader has, he can't dismiss a segment of the population just because he disagrees with or hates them. Those Jews were citizens of Germany before Hitler came along and they were the country's people, not any one man's people.

I am not a trump supporter and never will be but that doesn't mean he can arbitrarily decide I'm not one of "his people" and deal with me to my detriment. Hitler annihilated his people no matter how narrowly you want to parse it.

Are you seriously suggesting that Spicer was unaware of the Holocaust? He obviously made a faux pas but to say that he was also uninformed is just ridiculous.

I will give credit to Spicer for recognizing the gravity of his fuck up and apologizing.

What is disgusting and inexcusable are the fanboys of Drumpf on this thread trying to spin and provide cover for Hitler, aka to paraphrase: "Hitler didn't really think German Jews were Germans, so Spicer was correct that Hitler did not gas his own people!'

At least Spicer showed some character. The jpp Nazi apologists? Not so much

It was clear enough to me and others that he meant military use of chemical weapons like Sarin. He clarified and apologised, so can you kindly shut the fuck up now?

While you may not recognize it, even Sean Spicer recognized it was a highly insensitive thing to say. His first mistake was to insinuate that someone is "worse than Hitler". That type of rhetoric will never end well.

He showed some character by providing an apology without caveats.....without trying to spin, justify, or "interpret" words.

Something I have yet to see Drumpf's fanboys recognize as the ethical thing to do in this case.

Yeah, and I am not going to play word games with you, or tolerate any more parsing of words.

Did Hitler gas his own people? Yes.

Drumpf's fan boys seem particularly obsessed with parsing out whether German Jews were actually Germans, and the nexus between the military and gassing civilians.

Did Hitler use his military for aerial delivery of chemical weapons? No. Not to my knowledge He used his military to impound Jews in ghettos, ship them to "Holocaust centers" as Spicer called them, and then he used the military go gas Jews, including German Jews, in gas chambers.

The way Drumpf's fanbosy are parsing this and playing word games is preposterous and ridiculous. The correct, and the ethical thing to do, is to apologize for being so freaking insensitive to the survivors and legacy of the Holocaust without word games and parsing.
