White evangelicals still see Trump as ethical and honest, but atheists know better A new survey shows that atheists are far more critical of Trump’s

Trump used social issues, which were not real or important, to sway the dumb rightys. Do you guys know any transes? Why did you think it was a big problem? 235,000 women in college sports and there are fewer than 10 trans in sports. It is a footnote, not a problem. But oh, the horror of it taking sports from our girly girls.

If half the nation is poorly educated, who's fault is that?

If Trump successfully used social issues, as inflated as they were, to sway voters, whose fault is that? What is the solution?

They want revenge on America, but I cannot figure out what they think we did to them.
Barry Goldwater; Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them

Goldwater was one of those people who I did not agree with, but I always knew his heart was in the right place. He really believed what he was saying was for the good. I would much rather have him as president than trump.

Perhaps you can vote for Goldwater next election, Never Right Walter.

It is apparent that the educational propaganda of the churches still works. The followers still follow the leaders, no matter how ridiculous things are. The evangelical leaders are part of the plutocracy. They live like kings.
My 90 + yr old grandmother sent Oral Roberts 25 bucks a month while she lived in America. He was golfing with presidents and living in a huge compound.

This is true, and is why the founders of the country wanted to keep the church -- all churches -- out of government.

My mom loved Oral Roberts and Billy Graham and constantly sent them $$ too. What a waste. She could have helped so many actual needy ppl with that cash.

My wife is a Born Again Christian and used to be a big fan of Osteen until she attended one of his appearances. The amount of greed displayed by constantly passing baskets for donations and other instances of money-grubbing turned her off completely on him.

My son & family visited Houston some years back; he wanted to see the NASA stuff there. His wife talked him into going to an Osteen service. She was enamored and actually got a photo of her standing between him and his wife, which she posted on social media. Unfortunately the greed and glamor and materialism is really her thing. Your wife is smarter.

Agreed on Goldwater. The days of Goldwater Republicans are gone. Now we have White Nationalists wearing faux Christian crosses and who worship mammon.

One good thing, while I will have to try to rebuild America after all this is done, rebuilding the Republican Party is not my problem. That is going to be a mess too.

Where did you not ?
