I am a privileged white man who was brought up in the suburbs on farmland of George Washington. My parents grew up in the racist south and because my father was intellectually gifted he got a fellowship for a physics phd after his nuclear engineering undergrad and math masters. Govt scientist fighting the Cold War sri international etc etc.

May parents took great care not to bring the ugly parts of their upbringing with them. There was a great deal of racism in my formative years but also a transition to more enlightened beliefs.

It would take to long to walk through all the things that bring me now to explain the dusallusionment I feel now. Suffice it to say I am totally disgusted and embarrassed with the president and anyone who supports him.

I want to live in a great country. White racist Republicans are making it impossible to be a decent human. Shame shame shame.

I heard Joe DiMaggio died after DEMOCRAT JFK (& possibly RFK too) fucked his wife. The she supposedly killed herself. Was it an early instance of "Arkanicide"? :dunno:

I thought we were going to be a pluralistic advanced country with high tech leadership, prosperity for all and happiness. It seems the right is trying to make sure we become a backwater of uneducated, superstitious scared nationalists. So sad. Maybe the American experiment failed. Sorry Jefferson, Washington, Dr King, Lincoln and JFK, we tried. Maybe it's a million years too soon in human evolution. The progress is halted by the flagging tail of humanity.
