I keep expecting Romney to do something, like name a running mate, that will push him into the lead. Maybe it will be the conventions? I dont know, but if the current situation solidifies the President gets reelected.
 
The bump occurs the day after the election .. when Romney/Ryan will get bumped from memory.

Republicans will blame Romney and his political career will be over.

Ryan seems to already know what's coming .. so he won't give up his seat in the House.

Did Obama and Biden give up their seats in the Senate?

You are a tad premature in calling this. If unemployment rate continues ticking up going into the election, this is going to go from tight (right now) to a fairly easy Romney win.

My predictions are not always correct, in fact when I make them I usually say that I am not sure and that it could come out differently. Unlike Dixie who is usually absolutly sure...
