Do you vote? If you did, when you first registered you had to show ID. Then the election comm. determined if you are qualified. When they check you in, they match signatures and see if you are in the precinct logbook. That is proving who you are and that you qualify to vote and that you are in the precinct you were assigned.
Mail-in goes through the same procedures. Our elections are always checked thoroughly and they are very fair and safe.
