Ironically, those scientists were there to help avoid the next pandemic level outbreak.

Fast forward to trump's months long lies about Covid as it ravaged the nation.

Would quicker action have avoided a shutdown? We'll never know.

That's being a little too literal. When a POTUS has the backing of Congress, as many have, it's pretty easy to ram through policies that typically end up destroying the economy.

I don't believe I ever said a POTUS can single handedly destroy an economy, but trump came pretty close.
