What’s at Stake in This Election? Democracy.

Representative Democracy is a form of democracy.

You're not the first who has put that response out there. I find it alarming that conservatives are now arguing that "we're not really a democracy, anyway." Such quick acceptance of the radical way Trump has changed our government.

No. Literally your concept of democracy never has existed. It's a fake problem.

Absolutely. Trump supporters have contempt for democracy. They want a dictator.

^Dumber and Dumbest proving what a failure our educational establishment has been. :palm:

"I propose that Congress creates a new mechanism to help accomplish this purpose. It should create a supremely high-level bipartisan and nonpartisan commission to oversee the election. "

Nope. Voting is the responsibility of the States. Once the Fed's get it they will fucking rape it.

More evidence of how badly our educational establishment is failing to educate our citizens.

:smh:

Precisely... It's painful to even have to have such discussions with people... One should know the form of government of the country that they live in (and how it works) ...

Leftist education institutions sure suck the bag...

So you're going to continue the charade that Dementia Joe, not Kamala, is the dem pres. candidate. So be it. You are fooling no one but yourself. :palm:

Especially when both Kamala and Joe THEMSELVES have let it slip... but even without that, it should be obvious...

Haw Haw Haw

Your dem pres. candidate, Kamala, was appointed by the DNC bureaucracy, not elected democratically by the people. :palm:

Just like in 16, when the DNC rigged the primary to knock out Bernie. :rofl2:

Yup, they don't even understand how the DNC operates... The DNC does anything BUT support Democracy...

America is a Representative Democracy.

WRONG; it is a Republic of states. If our educational establishment was doing its job, you would know this. :palm:

James Madison, the father of the U.S. Constitution and primary author of the Bill of Rights, repeatedly emphasized that the United States is a “republic” and not a “democracy.”

Republic, form of government in which a state is ruled by representatives of the citizen body. Modern republics are founded on the idea that sovereignty rests with the people, though who is included and excluded from the category of the people has varied across history. Because citizens do not govern the state themselves but through representatives, republics may be distinguished from direct democracy, though modern representative democracies are by and large republics. The term republic may also be applied to any form of government in which the head of state is not a hereditary monarch.

if California loves pure democracy why don't they split their electoral votes between candidates based on how many votes they get?.......
