What would the great leaders of our country's past THINK of the 2016 Election?

Ya'll have this idealized and romanticized vision of our founding fathers that's divorces from reality. These guys were no shrinking violets. They were willing to put their fortunes against defeating the greatest empire in the world at that time and did so.

Ya'll just need to reed the source material, particularly the news papers and other broad sheets of the time, during election years and you'll found out real quick these guys had no problem slinging mud and playing gutter low ball. Tom Jefferson was a master at it.

The founders would hang Douchebag Donald from the highest tree.

Really? That's mighty Fascist of you to say so...

But, can you show Historical Examples of the founding fathers Lynching their political opponents in Presidential Elections?

If I recall, Lynching actually got started by the Democratic Party and the KKK after their losses in the Civil War. I believe the first Lynching was in 1868.

I believe you'll find the History of Lynching starting at time mark 5:10.

Cheers!

Oh I know that. What I am talking about is what they would say about how you leftists destroyed their republic.

Thomas Jefferson: "Hillary, You want Gun Control and have stated that the website Brietbart has "No Right to Exist!"

I told my nation long ago, and most Americans today would still agree with me:

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it.

Associate with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for it is better to be alone than in bad company. Don't hang w/ trumpf

Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. Not trumpf

If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter. jail opponents, torture, insult-yep that's trumpf

To be prepared for war is one of the most effectual means of preserving peace.

Yes, if the House had voted to re-elect Adams in 1800, instead of either Jefferson or Burr, the Virginia militia was prepared to march on DC.

When you violate the LAWS and National Security Regulations, you go to jail. or at least you should!

If Hillary had done in 1944, what she did as SoS today, she would have been SHOT!

rolling over in their graves...Ben Fanklin's quote rings especially true:
++
QUOTATION: “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”
FRANKLIN: “A Republic, if you can keep it.”

ATTRIBUTION: The response is attributed to BENJAMIN FRANKLIN—at the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, when queried as he left Independence Hall on the final day of deliberation—in the notes of Dr. James McHenry, one of Maryland’s delegates to the Convention.

we are becoming more and more an unchecked monarchy -so called Unitary president.
Clinton fits right into that scheme -already promising government by executive orders

Well said....

too bad most the country is just a little too ignorant to realize just how serious our situation is.....
I'm thinking of the IRS, State Dept., FBI and an all too compliant media ...... our Emperor has new clothes....

Justice seems to be a thing of the past....at least for the elites....

Many 'peons' that have done much less are in jail.

What rules did they have back then?? Did anyone try to hack into Hull's email??

While I do find your topic interesting, mixing generations/centuries does not always mix well..

trumpf for one isn't a gentlemen.. He did not bother to fight for his country, he fought to stay out of serving it..

He disrespected Vets, specially those like McCain that fought.. IMHO Washington specifically, like the Reagans would have nothing to do w/ him...

Pretenders & charlatans were a dime a dozen then, as they are now......
