What will mean success for the teaparty turnout?

LOL you saw Communists at the protests?

I am a tad bit surprised that the Communist party is still functioning.

LOL... for a few seconds at the first rally I wanted to ask a guy "can I touch a real live Communist?"

The rally was held outside City Hall in S.F. which has a vast park behind it. There was a main stage where there were performances, speeches etc. Around the park there were lots of booths set up (kind of a like a fair) each promoting their cause either trying to gain supporters, donations or giving out literature. I spent a lot of my time walking around checking out the booths. There were a lot of booths set up with info on Marx and Communism. In fact my hands were full with phamplets and info by the time I left. I thought all these people were crazy but it was actually interesting info nonetheless.

There were very few pictures on the news of these protests.

No where near the coverage that this little stunt is getting

I feel like we are living in a parallel universe. This just speaks to the power of perception (two people watching the exact same events but seeing them completely opposite.)

Now let's see if they are as favorable to the Tea Party crowd.

Cawacko why dont you go get some MSM pictures of the protests and show them to us?

That's a great point, I can't. I knew all the protest pictures I was seeing on TV and in the newspaper from within the U.S. and across parts of Europe were all photoshopped frauds. I mean I rarely watch the news but the few times I did the headline stories were about the U.S. preparing to go into Iraq and the protests against it.

Maybe I'm crazy (rhetorical question) would anyone else like to chime in with whether they saw coverage of the Iraq War protests on the news? Maybe San Francisco is the only place in the country that showed so much protest coverage?

You are not crazy. Desh is being herself. To her, the fact that they didn't dedicate solid hours of coverage to it means coverage didn't happen.

I just showed you two photographs ABC ran and two than MSNBC ran. If you're not going to look that's your problem.

I just went and looked and most of the videos of war protest is made by the protestors.

So far the only MSM one I came acrossed was about Arrests on a fox channel

This is like creepy twilight zone stuff. Like I said I don't watch the news that much but I watched some in the pre Iraq War build-up and protests. Was I really not watching what I thought I was watching? When the news was covering the protests were they really not covering them? Was someone playing a creul joke on Desh and f'ing with her cable system at the time to block any reported material on the war protests thus she can honestly believe they were not covered?

How many to be a success?

Sheesh

It is not the number there, but whether taxes get lowered or not.

You could have 20 million show up and it is still a failure if the taxes do not lower.

Right wingnuts can never seem to grasp reality, always snarled up in ideology.

haven't you gotten it by now? The fabric of time and reality warps itself to the beliefs of Desh at any given moment she needs something to be the way she says it is.

ROFLMAO.... there were over 7000 friggin video posts there Desh... there is no way in hell you watched enough of them to say that 'most were created by protestors'

The media barely covered the Iraq War protests? Where were you hiding out during that time period?

Edit: I attended three Iraq War protests in San Francisco. There were freak shows all around that place. You try and claim BAC is out of the mainstream because he is a socialist. The socialist groups had nothing on the Communist groups and literature that was distributed at these events.

That's not quite correct my friend.

The media ran from covering the protests of the Iraq War. Like everyone else, including the Democratic Party, they were afraid of the Bush Administration and the cabal of Cheney, Rove, and Rumfield .. and like evryone else, they were afraid of being called "unpatriotic."

The Fourth Estate virtually disappeared.

THUS, the rise of alternative media .. which is now becoming the real Fourth Estate.

I have no sympathy for print media which is now vanishing. They failed miserably in their duty and responsibility to the American people and this nation. They were cowards.

In regards to socialists .. I'll let you in on a secret .. only if you promise not to tell anyone. We don't talk about socialism much. Don't preach it to the masses. .. because we don't have to. Intelligent society comes to socialism on its own.

Perhaps SF has its own uniqueness where socialists there passed out a lot of literature .. but that's not the norm.

No one wants our endorsement, not even democrats, because they're afraid of us. Obama would have us shot if we stepped on the White House lawn. If you want to see a piece of legislation fail, attach "socialism" to it. Many of those who believe in the concept of democratic socialism would never call themselves a socialist .. afraid of the stigma.

We prefer to remain underground and let evolution take its course.

Where's all the pictures of masses of people gathered together in a massive show of tea party force?

40,000 people anywhere?

20,000?

C'mon, Obama got 20,000 people at almost every place he stopped.

Ok .. 15,000?

No?

10,000?

What?

I see 500, a couple of hundred, 3000, 4000, 300, "scores", 1000 .. but no massive show of support anywhere.

Is that air seeping out of a balloon that I'm hearing?

:)
