I had plans last night and wasn't able to watch the democrat party's moral victory.

I want to congratulate my friends in the democrat party on their moral victory

My takeaway is that Dems truly have no sense of fiscal responsibility if they are going to piss away that much money in a deep red district. No wonder Illinois is going bankrupt.

Low rent contard scum like Asshole in Lunaticland are having a good time end zone dancing over a narrow victory that should have never even been a contest to begin with.

All the Congressional vacancies created by Trump's cabinet picks were purposely chosen from very safe red districts, so this result comes as no surprise.

The only surprise is how close it was.

Dems are still very competitive for 2018.

I agree actually. Much ado about not much. But dims and their complicit media made a big deal out of it. And because they did, so did repubs. Personally I didn't care.

I also like how you have purged your memory of how the democrats thought Georgia was a state they could flip.

Now is your democrat party delusional? Why would they spend $24 million on a race you think they couldn't win?

If they are so desperate and delusional what makes you think they will do the right things to bring you the victory you so desire in 2018

The congressional seat has been won by the Republican by an average over OVER 30% margin for decades now. Decades. Trump was a polarizing figure, but it doesn't change the fact that the '16 Congressional race there was still a landslide for the Republican. Those races are local.

As I've said all along, '18 will still be a shellacking for the GOP in the House. I'm not sure if the Dems will actually win a majority back, but they'll come close. The Senate is tougher logistically in '18. I actually expect the Dems to lose 1-2 seats there, which will still be pretty bad news for the GOP given a near-historic opportunity that they have in the Senate that year.
