SMY, that is a map of counties that half of the US population lives in. Not a map of counties that HRC won. You can tell that none of the black belt is blue, for instance, when Hillary Clinton won all of it. Also, do you think Hillary Clinton won Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine while winning none of their counties?

The electoral college isn't set up to punish big cities. Obama had an electoral college advantage even though he was huge in big cities. If you simulate an electoral college loss by subtracting 1.5% of his vote from each state while giving 1.5% to Romney, he still wins even though he would've lost the popular vote in such a scenario. The electoral college rewards narrow victories.
 
"The electoral college is for rural people" is a post-hoc myth concocted by idiots to justify the selection of Bush and Trump against the will of the American people. The electoral college is random. It has no bias.

I think you know exactly what I mean, I don't deny the Cubans prosperity, I just would hate to see all the first world problems appear there as a consequence. I am sure that the Cuban Mafia is just itching to swamp the island with hard drugs, gambling and crime syndicates.

I know what you are trying to say; and it is silly nonsense. Again, I am amused by claims that Cuba or Venezuela are better off with Marxists in charge. Capitalism with all of its warts may not be pretty some times, but it beats the hell out of being a Prisoner in your own nation watching the political elites live like Royalty while everyone else suffers.

Okay; your words indicate to me that you don't like American things like fast food, consumerism etc and think that this will destroy what you mistakenly see as a wonderful cultural aspect of Cuban living. If I am wrong, please do educate me.

I can guarantee you that Cubans living under the yoke of communism do not have such idealistic notions about their lifestyles.

No I am not especially fond of wall to wall fast food outlets, the USA is the fattest nation on the planet apart from Tonga maybe. You don't have to be much of a logician to perceive cause and effect there.

If you eat it occasionally then that's fine but there are whole generations who live on little else. The Cubans do have a varied and complex culture, not least in their cuisine, which is a blend of Native American Taino food, Spanish, African, and Caribbean influences. I often think that Big Pharma and fast food corporations seemingly operate hand in glove, one gets people ill due to so much saturated fat and carbs and the other doles out the pills to ameliorate the effects.

as much as I didn't want to, in the beginning, i'm really starting to enjoy the angst and agony on display by the supporters of manipulation, deceit, and corruption. it's good karma for those that applauded the DNCs tactics over Sanders
