One critical difference between the Hunter Biden story and the trump crimes is that the Hunter Biden story is based all on innuendo and the only hard evidence is a laptop, allegedly belonging to Hunter, but was in the possession of Rudy Guliani. Rudy, as we know is a disbarred disgraced former mayor and atty with zero ethics.

There is a critical rule of evidence called, "chain of custody". As soon as Rudy touched that laptop the chain of custody was broken. Rudy is a partisan source and not a law enforcement officer.

There is no hard evidence supporting the Hunter Biden story.

With the trump crimes, we have corroborating evidence and the stolen documents.

Well, there is the form he lied on to purchase a firearm. One of the questions on the form asks about drug use. Having an adjudicated case of being a drug user--in Bagman's case this would be his dismissal from naval service and losing his commission for drug abuse. The laptop further confirms his continued use. Answering "Yes" would have prohibited the sale of the weapon but we know he was able to purchase it.

He answered that question "No." Lying on that form is a federal felony.
