What is the point of this silly board?

I mean really guys, what IS the point? If you aren't going to really do anything about the flaming and posting of nonsense comments, why bother with setting up a new board? If our choice as posters is to either post here or in the old forum, why would we chose to post here? What is the advantage? I'm not getting it.
