It is one of the stages of grief. Denial being another. Eventually there is acceptance.

It's like saying: "Nothing came of it then so nothing will come of it this time." It is wishful thinking. It is an attempt to try to tell oneself that Trump is not in serious trouble. It's bargaining.
The only problem is he is. Trump is in serious trouble. Denying it or downplaying it or trying to bargain it away will not change it.
Cultists wish to let him off the hook. Or deny that there even is a hook that he is on.
They will use any means they can think of, or get told, in order to believe that Donald is not subject to justice, nor should be. It is interesting to hear how they rationalize continued support of a crook.
Only problem is I don't get to read too much of what cultists have to say here. Most of them have been so disrespectful to me they have found their way onto my ignore list. I have never been disrespectful to anyone but they are so angry about the world that when I have stated my views about Donald, they have attacked me personally. I get it. He has instead learned to be a bully and to say provocative things to get attention. It's the only way he knows how to get any recognition at all in this world. His parents certainly denied him any.
If Donald speaks for his followers, then we have a lot of people in this country who could benefit from some intense mental counseling. Our Congress should create a new Department of Domestic Tranquility. Hire Marianne Williamson to run it. It would be worth it to pay a vast team of mental health counselors to address what appears to be a huge need in this nation.
It is an embarrassment that we have two different news streams. The news is the news. Facts are facts. Rumors and propaganda are fiction. People need to know how to tell the difference. Cultists lack this ability. The best advice I could recommend would be if it is Fox or anything else from the right? Do not believe it. The main stream media didn't leave you. You left it. This whole second stream of information was created by big money to divide us so that they could more easily corrupt our government. It was all covered in the Powell Memo.
