They'll certainly have the House. The Senate is too close to call and may involve runoff elections.
Intelligent people know that the more divided the nation becomes, the more Americans will narrow the margin of control in Congress. Why? It's their best defense against partisan parties.
They hope Republicans will make good on the promise many GOP members have made to cutback or even eliminate Social Security. Older voters must be especially keen on that idea since they are the age group most drawn to
the Party.

Speaking of which, I'm curious about the negative impact Republicans will have on all older voters; a reliably conservative group. So far the Republicans have downplayed the hazards of COVID, downplayed vaccines and made it more difficult to vote by mail.
I'm especially curious to see how the Republicans flip-flop on mail-in ballots when a lot of the older voters, who often vote by mail, get their ballots kicked for failure to properly fill out and sign the ballot.
The margin is very thin in several races and seeing elder ballots kicked out or not sent in at all because they are sick or dead from COVID could make a key difference in election 2022.

I don't think the Republicans will do this, but they should.
From day one having majorities in both houses of Congress, they start sending up to Joke short, single item bills that are just a page or two long. That makes it possible to show the public what they're doing. For spending bills, a simple majority in the Senate is necessary so those pass without problem.
For example, the Republicans sent a single item bill that funds and orders building of a solid wall along the entirety of the Southern border. Let's say the bill is three pages long detailing that and authorizing the funding. They send it to Biden. What does he do now? Veto it? The Democrats take another pounding from the public. Cave and sign it? Now he's on the hook to build a wall. That's visible to the public. He foot drags or otherwise tries to avoid doing what the bill requires, the Democrats take another pounding from the public.
You send simple bill after bill like that up to Biden. Either he caves and does stuff, or he and his party get ass fucked again in 2024. That's doing something that the public clearly wants done. The Left can snivel and whine all they want about it, but it only hurts them to do so.

I'd truly be impressed if that's what and all they did.
My guess is that the Post-Trump Circus will go into it's second act. Just like the Pedo Don followers on JPP are suggesting, multiple attempts to impeach Biden, shut down all investigations of the coup and other Trump crimes.
