What is Bush trying to say here?

Okay w/ what?

Bush is condemning extremism. You said you regretted your vote for him because of that.

What is it about domestic extremists that makes you say that? This is one of those "methinks thou doth protest too much" things. It is very telling.

You’re ok with leaving 9/11 out of it then.

And minimized 9/11.

It’s bullshit. I’m done with him.

And yet I don't see you crying about Trump minimizing 9/11.

you said the exact same thing about the Kraken election conspiracy theories; that if I would just be patient and wait, your Kraken horseshit would be proven.
what the hell is a Karkn theory.
No I was never conspiratorial,I said there was "iregularities" and the courts would show it.
The courts punted -get it?

I think this thread is absolutely stunning.

Bush is making a pretty logical connection between extremism and events like 9/11. And he's right - extremism in all its forms is one of the greatest threats to the nation.

But people are upset about it. Why? Because they agree w/ some domestic extremists? Can anyone explain this to me?

Please tell me you are not foolish enough to compare Trump, Palin, and George Dumbya to Bill Clinton, Obama, and Biden.

Clinton and Obama easily won consecutive back to back terms, left office with 60 percent approval ratings, and presided over an economic recovery and bequeathed a growing economy to their successors.

Obama is now routinely being rated in the top 17 or 18 presidents in history by reputable surveys of historians.

Biden has 3.4 years to go, but the there was a collective sigh of relief here and around the world that he handily beat Trump, handing Trump two losses in a row in the popular vote.
you are talking votes now before it was policy.

I find it amazing you would be happy the world is happier with Biden -although NATO aint happy with Biden after Afghan

I dont care about making the world happy. I care about America first

these globalists are basically abuse victims with no core selves.

stockholm syndrome.

So you agree 9/11 stays out of it.

Ok, I have no problem criticizing extremism.

Extremism is what led to 9/11.

Bush condemning it is 100% appropriate on the anniversary of that day. It's a statement that we won't forget - everything, including what caused that day to happen.

And you have an issue w/ that.

That makes you an extremist lol.

Part of the problem here is ‘extremism’ is like ‘terrorism’. Its non-informative. One of the errors Bush made was in declaring war on ‘terrorism’—which is declaring war on a tactic. This led to a lot of unnecessary confusion. We were—and still are, at war with Islamic radicals or radical Islam. But since that ‘steps on the wrong toes’ we had the ‘war on terror’.

Violent extremists come in all stripes. Our urban areas are riddled with ‘violent extremists’. What keeps urban drug lords from being a kind of ‘extremist’? Nothing I can think of.

So, why do you have an issue condemning extremism?

Can you imagine if Bush told his advisors that he was planning on using 9/11 to condemn extremism, and they came back at him w/ "whoa...that is WAY too controversial. You'll alienate people that voted for you...."
