What is a Christian Zionist?

Good question. I see/hear the term 'Zionist' thrown around fairly often, usually as an insult of some sort, but I have no idea what it is supposed to mean and I'm guessing that the people who are hurling the term around likewise have no clue what it means.

A Zionist whether they be Jews or Christians are simply people who are for the development and protection of
a Jewish nation now called Israel.
In similar terms a Zionist would be no different than why Americans call their nation America, where real Americans
want to see the development and protection of our nation that we call America. And under Trump's leadership, that
is exactly what America is getting full speed, and that includes developing and protecting America.

Christian Zionists generally support Israel as part of a greater end times scheme that involves the destruction of Israel.

'Zionist' simply means one that wants to re-establish Israel as a nation, which has been done.
Zion itself was a fortress on a hill just north of Jerusalem build by King David. That area is now incorporated into the City of Jerusalem itself.

No, it simply means they don't know what a Zionist is. They themselves can't even define what it is. It's a buzzword, like 'climate change'.

I did not come up with the Book of Revelation, Rapture, or any of these things. I do not believe in them either.
Many, but not all, Christian Zionists see creating Israel as a step towards the Second Coming, and creation of the Third Temple. They like to say that half the Jews shall be converted, and the other half will be killed. They also want to force all the Jews to move to Israel.
Can you see how that might be against my best interests?
