Tommy Iommi is a true guitar God in my opinion, especially when you consider that he lost the tops of two fingers and strung his guitars with banjo strings which were a lighter gauge than even the lightest guitar-strings of the time and wore plastic covers over the two damaged fingers. He fashioned the latter himself, by melting plastic liquid-soap bottles into a ball and then using a soldering iron to make holes into this ball, putting his fingers in while the plastic was still soft enough to be shaped. He then trimmed and sanded away the excess plastic to leave himself with two thimbles which he then covered with leather, to provide better grip on the strings.

You should also know that he chose to retune his guitar to C# from E for the Master of Reality album in 1971, specifically to relieve the tension on his fingers.

I am thankful I liquidated my stocks last year when Obama was elected, and invested in Gold!

I am thankful I cashed in my 401k before it tanked, and invested it in Gold.

I am thankful for the Salvation Army and Good Samaritans organizations, for continuing to help the needy in spite of the relentless attacks from anti-religious idiots.

I am thankful for my family, and their ability to resolve their drama without putting me in the middle the past year.

I am thankful for my kids, who have finally grown up and are responsible enough to take care of themselves now, without my financial assistance.

I am thankful for my Mom, who will, this year, take the first Thanksgiving off I can ever recall, to travel to North Carolina to spend time with her friends instead of slaving over a hot stove all day.... Have fun and enjoy yourself Mom, you deserve it!

I am thankful my home is paid for, and I have zero debt.

I am thankful for all my friends... even the liberal ones.

hint: the DOW did NOT rise 50% since last Thanksgiving.

It plunged in the November-February months. THEN it rallied 50% off the bottom to essentially put us back where we started in October of last year. We still need a 40% rise to get back to the top (from Oct 2007).

I am thankful I understand that 1/3 +1/3 +1/3 is exactly equal to one. I am truly thankful I am not a retard that thinks otherwise.
