a) Compared to WHAT ?!

b) The previous U.S. president (GWB [R-TX]) inherited a nation that was stable. Our troops were not at war. Our economy was not in shambles. Our homeland was safe after 8 years of the Democrat philanderer in chief.

c) Then the Republicans took charge.
After 8 years of that:
- the U.S. had suffered the worst terrorist attack on the U.S. homeland in history, thousands dead, $Billions in destruction
- we were a nation at Wars
- multiple inadequate emergency responses, Hurricanes Rita and Katrina for examples
- the economy had blown up; "sub-prime mortgage meltdown" for example.
- private sector job losses reportedly ~800K / month.

That's what Senator Obama faced when he awakened inauguration day.

Nearly 8 years later, unemployment is listed as being cut in half.
The stock market has soared, though in recent days (since Trump was elected) has turned downward.

Bottom Line: Bush took a good situation, and made it vastly worse. Obama took a dire situation and made it substantially better. And it is that better situation President Trump will inherit. We'll see how it looks 4 years from now (if we live that long).

As pivotal it is to the cosmos and god, it has no absolute bearing on the completely valid point I made, which remains:

Under President GWB the nation was worse off at the end of his administration than at the beginning NO MATTER HOW BAD IT WAS AT THE BEGINNING !!!

And in vivid contrast, after nearly 8 years of President Obama, the U.S. is substantially BETTER off than it was at the beginning of his presidential tenure.

Is the economy better off NOW then it was when GWB left office. That IS the standard created by Ronaldus Maximus. No one ever mentions that the recovery in the 80's started because of Carter's appointment of Volker to head the fed. So again, is the US better off today than it was on January 21, 2009?

Is the economy better than when Obama took office? Yes it is. Is this one of the weakest economic recoveries we've had? Yes it is.

The economy is already better since Trump was elected and he hasn't even been sworn in yet. Consumer confidence is through the roof. The stock Market is going berserk. So much for previous dire predictions, hmm?
