The insults are all very interesting, but I'd really like the thread to get back to Dixie's premise that the "post-analysis" showed that the Democrats' "only message" was that "Obama is black."

That was very intriguing to me. I'd certainly like to hear more on that.

Well did you hear of anything new or different? I heard the same old rhetoric about tax increases on the wealthy, and "fair share" a lot, which is precisely what we heard 4 years ago. I didn't hear what Obama plans to do now, how he plans to fix the problems created mostly by his own policies from the first 4 years, or reduce the deficit, fix Social Security, or anything else. What I heard repeatedly, was that Obama is a great black president and those who are opposed to him are racists. I heard THAT message in every way shape and form it could be articulated, so that's where my analysis comes from. I also heard Obama use the word "revenge" and no one seemed to ever explain what that meant. I just put two and two together, he must mean revenge to the whites who've been racists and kept the black man down. Does anyone have another explanation?

What would happen if you won an election based on contempt? Because that is the emotion of the right, isn't it? Contempt for those who suffer, contempt for those who are unfortunate. Rightists are those who see someone being beaten up and cheer the bully, laughing contemptuously at the victims weakness. Rightists stand with the victimizers. But in 2012, as it turned out, it was proved to the rightists that you can't win an election based on contempt for the weak victims and love of the unjust, strong victimizers. Because what is rightism about? Rightism is about hating justice. Rightists can't stand justice. That's what dixie is getting on about. Oh, how dare you feel spite. There is no contempt from the right. No one has contempt for the poor or suffering. No one is cheering someone getting beaten up. No one is standing with victimizers. These are left-wing memes you've been fed to bash and trash the right, and not rooted in truth or reality. The Democrats are the party of special interests. Their entire template is designed around catering to certain groups of people who are either minorities or some other "victims" of society. This includes the poor unfortunate labor union worker who can't get a measly $2 hr. raise on his $24 hr. salary, because of those damn republicans! Naturally, the Democrats, being the party of special interests, pretend the republicans are "against people" because they don't cow-tow and placate special interests, but instead, advocate a philosophy that we are all equal and deserving, and every American is capable of success.

You see, what you are doing is turning your special interest advocacy into a moral crusade, and pretending the republicans are the forces of evil who must be defeated. Your ideas are Marxist Socialism, and are probably responsible for more human suffering and death than any other single ideology ever known to man. You don't "help" the poor, you keep them impoverished and dependent upon your party. You don't fix the schools, you keep the children struggling and behind, you need the "victims" to support your party. In fact, your party isn't going to fix anything, including abortion and gay marriage, because they need the issue more than they need to solve the problem. Your party doesn't give a damn about people, other than to keep them believing they are victims who rely on your party.
