The Force is With Me
BAC as a self admitted socialist, what are your biggest gripes? Is it that it's not single payer?
That it's a corporatist-written cumbersome clusterfuck of a law that is not health care reform at all.

If the young and healthy don't sign up .. the entire program implodes
Well if it implodes in California, you might see states moving to single payer...which might be how we get there federally.
Wasn't this just all supposed to be a stepping stone to SP?
Being young doesn't make you immune. My stepdaughter had both kidney stones AND e-coli poisoning in the same year - and she was 23. Luckily, because of the ACA, she was on my insurance. Now she has a job that provides insurance, but she and her sister both know that, given the cost of medical treatment, when they hit 26 they'll be buying it if their work doesn't cover them.
Ever have kidney stones, Kane? real painful, and they don't always pass on their own. Buy the insurance or don't, but if you don't, then don't ask us to cover your expenses in the ER or wherever when you do get sick. Or when you get in a car accident. Or when you fall off a roof thinking you can fly while you're high on something.

young people on average are far and away more healthy than old people.
I don't ask anyone to pay for my own mistakes. Never have and never will. I don't go for force.

Because you dumb fucks are too busy on Xbox to do anything about it!I know I wouldn't buy into it at all. Why should my generation buy into it? We already pay the most for college to have the highest unemployment and lowest wages? Fuck you for FORCING us to pay more.
They didn't tell you that's what comes with a history degree!I foresee the return of the tenement lifestyle to young America.
Good! it's about damned time Komrade Reid was booted.NOPE .. it was supposed to be a boon for the health insurance industry.
A gift from a corporatist president .. and all the keys to a successful implementation are in the hands of .. you guessed it .. republicans.
The ACA has to be one of the most mind-boggling and politically-ignorant programs ever devised.
If I didn't know better, I would think Obama is a double-agent working for the Republican Party.
He's already given them the House .. now he's about to hand them the Senate.
Cool. Hope you have 10s of thousands of dollars laid up.
It wasn't a "mistake" that caused my step-daughter to get kidney stones. Nor e-coli. Shit happens. And it's expensive shit without health insurance.
