Whatever momentary distress burly man caused the child will be drowned out by a bombardment of opposite indoctrination for the remainder of the child's formative years.

The article I read (at HuffPo, I had to Google for it as I had no heard of it) is more an indictment of liberal whining and insular thinking than a tale of the dangers of camo-clad, beer drinking gay bashing hayseeds. Ironically, it also sums up liberal's lack of respect for "different' people and their woeful inability to react reasonably to being exposed to people who don't think like they do.

Before neo-fascist leftists, one's dignity and self respect did not rely on never hearing a syllable of oppositional thought from another person; it developed in the face of such challenges and hurdles. This goes for every perceived bigotry held up as debilitating and disabling by the modern left, homophobia, sexism, racism, etc . . .

Of course, for the modern left, "dignity" and "self respect" have been replaced with the empty proxy sentiment of "self-esteem".

No evidence that I've seen beyond lib-mommy with an agenda's blog...no corroborating witnesses, no camera phone stills or video, no WalMart corporate response...

Did this even happen?

So I actually read her account. A couple of things stand out to me

1) Lefties don't shop at Walmart. At least they don't claim to
2) I found it a little disturbing how she commented about her children prior to the "story". For example It takes a lot of work to get the kids ready, get them in and out of the car, find a shopping cart, keep them happy while I shop and get them home in one piece.. Really? Lots of work? Her children should be a joy, not work
3) Her description of what happened while horrifying is difficult to believe. She is obviously playing to every stereotype of a "redneck" that is possible. Additionally, I find it hard to believe that she was strolling through Walmart while everyone was telling her how cute her kid was. People aren't as friendly as they used to be and while it may happen with one person, you don't see it happen often.
4) Now that she has drawn attention to this, it would behoove Walmart to "go to the tape". Surely there is surveillance video that captured the whole thing.
5) In her HuffPo piece she says "I snapped his photo after two old birds came up to tell me just how adorable he was.". First, does anyone else find her comment of "two old birds" a little insulting and offensive way to talk about senior citizens?
6) Lastly and the most important thing. If this truly happened they would have been pulling my wife off of the perpetrator. What mother stands by and watches her kid get assaulted and does nothing? She didn't report it to the store? She didn't report it to the police? No, she takes to a HuffPo blog.

It all smells fishy to me.

Hoax for Sure

This story is fake. It's a hoax. Mommy blogger Katie Vyktoriah made this up for blog traffic. She did it to make money. I don't understand how major media outlets can post this story as truth. A quick Google search reveals her history of online lying and gross behavior. Huffington Post must know by now that this is a scam, and yet they keep deleting all comments that are skeptical of the story. Not only are they failing to report the news accurately, HuffPo is suppressing the truth entirely. Maybe they don't want to look stupid for falling for it?
