There was a threat. The government had to prepare for the worst. They were underprepared for 1-6. It would have been much worse if they sent everyone home and a huge violent attack happened.
You do not speak for the Red party.

There was no threat, a riot was media agitated to an "insurrection". The lefist media ran with it. not a single person showed up,. why do democrats still want the guard there?

On the one hand they weren’t prepared for 1/6 because they apparently suck at intelligence. On the other, we are supposed to believe and/or trust them when *they claim* to have intelligence about an attack.

Keep in mind our intelligence gurus are 0-2 in the prediction department counting the swing and a miss on the supposed attacks on state houses across the country, shortly after 1/6. NOBODY showed up in all 50 states. Just like NOBODY showed up on 3/4.

What do you deduce from that?

There were a ridiculous number of cops injured at the hands of raging lefties. I believe it was in the hundreds. I don’t recall a great number of the perps being caught. And even if they were, many of them were bailed out of jail. But it’s ‘different’ now.

Yes. Hopefully all of the criminals who attacked police were arrested and charged per the law. You see what you want to see.

Sane, mature and educated Americans know the difference between State and Federal jurisdictions and how our laws work.

In Russia and other fucked-up shithole countries, it's all one big law, so foreign assholes don't understand the nuances of US law.

Since "the Bad Orange Man" didn't do shit, that's a pretty low bar. :laugh:

The bottom line is that laws should be enforced and criminals prosecuted fairly and firmly. Obviously state laws and Federal laws are different.

IMO, the Insurrectionists would have been better of attacking Maryland's capitol building instead of the Federal one.

Well, there’s still the question of whether they were actually insurrecting.

Has anyone been formally charged with insurrection? Much less, with Trump inciting one. You can’t go to court armed with nothing more than a media narrative or ‘there’s bipartisan agreement that it was an insurrection’.

Any competent defense attorney would dispense with that in short order.

I'm happy to wait for their plea deals or trials. $20 says over 75% take plea deals in exchange for information about other Insurrectionists. LOL

Not a lawyer so I don't know what laws are being prosecuted. I do know the charges often add up to 20 years. More if murder or attack on the police was involved.

No doubt the Public Defenders of the Insurrectionists already under arrest are working on it. ;)
