What happened in Oregon will happen nationally after 2020

Then some moron like LV426 gets ahold of it and exaggerates even more.

The part of the story you are deliberately ignoring:

"A spokesperson for the state Senate president told The Associated Press on Friday that the "Oregon State Police has recommended that the Capitol be closed tomorrow due to a possible militia threat."

I've never heard of a peaceful threat before. Sounds like a Nazi goalpost shift that gullible bothsiderists like Flash fall for, predictably.

That does not mean individual districts are not gerrymandered in order to achieve that results.

Flash...the state is 60/40...that's reflected accurately in the representation in the state legislature.

You can't argue that's gerrymandered when the representation closely hews to vote totals.

Well, if they have no intention to act in good faith following the results of the election, then there's no reason to treat them or their arguments fairly today.

so your position is that if they have no faith in the political system, then you won't place any faith in their position or argument????????

But, I don't know anything about OR--I was just being sarcastic because that is the lame answer always given by the left for Republican legislative wins. But, I know you have no sense of humor and don't appreciate sarcasm, so let me try again.

Well, at least you're honest about your ignorance.

he voters of OR did what most voters do in midterm elections and vote against the president's party and because OR is a blue state.

Yeah, but they didn't merely win a majority, they dominated and won a super-majority.

And that was all over the country, not just Oregon...Democrats dominated everywhere. It was the largest margin of victory in total vote since the midterm after Watergate.

It's a preview of what will happen next year, just like what the GOP is doing in OR will be a preview of what they will do next year, after they lose significant power.

It's all bad faith.

Currently the Democrats control 37 chambers of state legislatures and the Republicans hold 61.

And what were those totals prior to 2018?

What is the context?

I know you love to abscond context, but you can't when making this argument.

Hardly.....it will happen only in liberal strongholds.....such as the worst coast, the north east, and the upper Midwest. Just as before during the last revolution....the civil war....it will be a democrat generated war as everything the democrats/liberals touch turns to shit

Conservatives are dead-enders.

They will never accept the results of any election they lose.

So since they will never operate in good faith, why should we treat them and their arguments fairly?

What, if I may ask, do you hope to accomplish??

I think I can get these Conservatives so wound up that they will make a threat that will put them in legal trouble, or reveal something personal about themselves that can lead to a doxxing.

Liberals can also get pretty violent when they lose elections:

We didn't lose the election in OR...we won it.

LV426: "I say forget arresting them and dragging them to do their jobs; just fucking shoot on sight"

We didn't lose the election; Conservatives did and are refusing to act in good faith. So, fuck them. They don't want to act in good faith and accept election results, then there's no reason to treat them fairly.

The 2018 mid-terms followed the historical norms for the party in power.

The 2020 election is not.a mid-term election.

Veremos.

I think I can get these Conservatives so wound up that they will make a threat that will put them in legal trouble, or reveal something personal about themselves that can lead to a doxxing.

so you admit that you hope to find a way to invite violence against conservatives, thanks. about time you stood up like a man

The bill depends on the ability to measure global CO2, which is not possible, and the CO2 emitted by the State of Oregon, which is not possible, and the CO2 emitted by an individual.

OK, so how is measuring something a violation of your rights?

You also didn't cite where in the bill it says your rights are violated...and I even linked the bill to you so you could do that.

You couldn't do that because the bill doesn't do that.

Four full state legislatures saw changes in their supermajority status—typically when one party controls either three-fifths or two-thirds of a chamber—as a result of the 2018 elections. Democrats attained supermajorities in three full state legislatures (both chambers)—California, Illinois, and Oregon.[1] This added to their existing four supermajorities, giving them seven total. Republicans, meanwhile, entered the night with 17 full state legislative supermajorities and lost one—North Carolina.”

There is that.
