What food shortages?

There were some empty shelves, two years ago, but I would not call it a food shortage. It was a shortage of some types of food, but there was more than enough food for everyone. Right now, I am not seeing empty shelves at all.

Maybe it is happening in rural areas, with high poverty rates, but it is not happening around me. There are so many unfilled jobs, it is hard to call it a job shortage. It might just be a shortage of willingness to work among the alt right.

Biden warned of global food shortages

So he lied?

Two years ago, there were some empty shelves, and shortages of some foods... But not an overall shortage of food. If anything, I was gaining weight.

Anyways, two years ago was under trump.
Meat industry suffered because trump hid his eponymous virus from the nation. The underpaid food production industry suffered severe Covid losses. trump ordered them to work despite the rampant trump virus, and many left the industry.

Biden saved the nation, and things are back to normal.

Save for trump's inflation, but that will take some time to work out.

Current Food Shortages

Meat shortages, especially beef and poultry, will plague us again in 2022.

Daniels says that meat and poultry are in short supply in many supermarkets. This is due to several factors, with manufacturing plant labor shortages causing most of the issues. Beef will likely see the most shortages because work in beef plants is more labor-intensive, according to Food Business News.

I live in decidedly non-rural Boston.

It's been at least two years since I went to the supermarket and found every single item on my list.
I always have to go searching somewhere else for something.

This was not the case before then.
As for the reasons, I cannot be certain.

I know no one that has died from covid, only know one person that has had it. Does that mean covid was/is not a pandemic?

It is amazing how many of the inflation problems go back to 2020, when absolutely terrible decisions were being made about the economy. trump was not responsible for all of them, but he also did nothing to help while bad decisions were being made. At best he failed to take responsibility.

Meanwhile, the Biden Administration takes responsibility, and makes reasonable decisions.

But IT IS happening where you are LIAR. Or do you expect us to believe that nation wide food shortages of certain products exist EVERYWHERE but the stores you shop.

Walter's caretaker does all the food shopping and paying for groceries. He will REEEEEEE like a motherfucker when his Hot Pockets can't be found.

He'll start a thread: "Panic! Food shortages everywhere!"

Russian food collusion...lol

My esposa does the grocery shopping and she says that there are food shortages at Kroger, Publix and Home Depot... all in the Atlanta area.

Yeah, there's probably food shortages at Home Depot.

You cannot decide whether the food shortages are current, or "predicted". Stone seems sure that he cannot find enough to eat now.

I am saying that I pay less than 1% of my income on food. If that doubles, it is still less than 2% of my income.

Bitch! You get free food. Who the fuck you foolin'?

The problems go back to the start of trump's war on our trade partners.

People tend to forget the long waits for appliances from China, along with the 20% increase in prices. Likewise for many other products that we simply don't manufacture here. There are still long waits for plastic plumbing supplies. Covid multiplied the China issues.

If you remember, the moment Obama took office, he was blamed for Iraq.

Ironic how trump took credit for many of Obama's accomplishments, and shirked all blame for his own fuckups.

Population. You have more people competing for limited supplies.

I constantly hear about the meat departments in grocery stores being 'shorted' orders. If they are out of something, they will have more in a day or two though.

I sometimes see the milk case empty at the local Aldis. Probably because their prices are much better than the local Walmart/Shoprite.

Within a day, the case is full. I almost took a picture of the full milk/egg cases yesterday to prove that there are no shortages.

good point....the population in the US has actually increased by a few million since Biden opened the borders.......

Biden has not opened the borders. In fact, the alt right has been protesting against Biden's refusal to open the borders.

Current net migration is about a million a year, which is actually lower than it was before Biden came to office.

don't try to blame me for the fact you ignore reality........
