This is a portrait of 1950s America. It symbolizes the "American Dream., and the hopes of the Founders fulfilled.

We see Christan nucleate family dressed in their Sunday best attending a Protestant church. They are White-Ango Yanks and all good-looking. The children are well-behaved... The Dad is self-assured and the proud leader of the family The posture and bearing of his son is the same as his dad, the Mom 's attention is turned lovingly to her young daughter. The "stars and Strips" is conspicuous in the background. glorious Sunlight streams in through the e a large, latticed window. set in the wall behind.

The painting is a work of great beauty, but it strikes a tragic note. when we reflect on how the "utopic" era of American history it captures was destined to be destroyed by degenerate socialists and neo-Marxists over the ensuing decades.

Your argument fails on so many points. You haven't acknowledged the biggest is that pedophilia exists outside the framework of any religion or social group. It's a people problem, not a religious problem. It will never go away and all we can do is watch for it and take legal action when we find it.
Ah but Christ's real Church should not be hiding priest that engage in pedophilia by transferring from one parish to the next instead of turning them in like they have been found guilty of doing.

Hey I don't believe in any of those other branches of religion you mentioned either. The Catholic Church has a very long history of abusing kids an murdering and torturing people. It strikes me that Christ's real Church would not do those things or have a history of doing those kinds of things. Now a counterfeit church created by the evil one to draw people away from the truth might do those things though.
Which is Christ's real Church?

Before going off on a tangent, remember that Christianity/Catholicism was around for at least 1500 years before your denomination started. Search for the evil one in your own group before throwing stones.

And I strongly criticized the church for hiding this problem; in fact, that contributed to my current issues with the church.

I guess you're saying your denomination is NOT Christ's real church, then.

I remember that real Christians followed the teaching of God before Catholicism hijacked Christianity. We just refocused on what Christ and his Disciples taught.

It's a sentimental painting Dachsieweenie, but ignores the reality of crying babies, kids pushing each other around in the pews or running up and down the aisles, people falling asleep during the homily and other human behaviours. There's a reason church's created "crying rooms."

In the 1st century.
Then who were these real "Catholics who hijacked Christianity?"

"The first known use of the phrase "the catholic Church" (he katholike ekklesia) occurred in a letter written c. AD 110 from one Greek church to another (Ignatius of Antioch to the Smyrnaeans). The letter states: "Wheresoever the bishop shall appear, there let the people be, even as where Jesus may be, there is the universal [katholike] Church. Thus, almost from the beginning, Christians referred to the Christian Church as the "one, holy, catholic (from the Greek καθολική, 'according to the whole, universal') and apostolic Church".The Eastern Orthodox Church claims that it is today the continuation and preservation of that same early church."

Well the Catholic Church admits they changed the Ten Commandments. I don't think they have the authority to do that.

No, the Catholic Church did not change the Ten Commandments; rather, the differences in numbering and grouping between Catholic and Protestant versions stem from historical variations in how they are interpreted and listed. Both traditions contain the same commandments, just organized differently.

Overview of the Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments, also known as the Decalogue, are a set of biblical principles relating to ethics and worship. They are found in the books of Exodus and Deuteronomy in the Bible.

Catholic vs. Protestant Listings
The Catholic Church and many Protestant denominations list the Ten Commandments differently. This difference often leads to the misconception that the Catholic Church has changed or omitted a commandment.
1You shall not have other gods besides MeYou shall have no other gods before me
2You shall not take the Name of the Lord in vainYou shall not make unto thee any graven image
3Remember to keep holy the Lord’s dayRemember the sabbath day, to keep it holy
4Honor your father and your motherHonor thy father and thy mother
5You shall not murderThou shalt not kill
6You shall not commit adulteryThou shalt not commit adultery
7You shall not stealThou shalt not steal
8You shall not bear false witness against your neighborThou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor
9You shall not covet your neighbor’s wifeThou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife
10You shall not covet your neighbor’s goodsThou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods

Reason for Differences

The Catholic Church follows a numbering system established by St. Augustine, which combines the prohibition against graven images with the commandment about having no other gods. This grouping is seen as a way to emphasize the prohibition against idolatry rather than omitting a commandment.

Conclusion

The Catholic Church did not change the Ten Commandments; rather, it uses a different numbering system that reflects its theological understanding. The essence of the commandments remains intact across both traditions.
