Who benefits from the news being seen as fake? Is it the right...who just won an election...or the left who just lost?
 
Not shifting goalposts, when was the last time fake news and demagoguery played a key role in a Democrat winning the White House? Both are, and have been, a common trait of the right wing media going back to Nixon, conservatism needs it to succeed

I could name six just here in South Florida, as long as the standard isn't SUCCESSFUL left leaning radio personalities. I used to listen to these guys for entertainment. They would harangue the GOP, corporate America and all things conservative in general, and I would listen to them and laugh my ass off. But the one golden moment I will always cherish was when they stopped to draw a breath and one of them says, "we're gonna take a short break, but stay tuned! We'll be right back after a word from our sponsors" . Well, you can imagine what happened next. The sponsors left in droves, but the lefties kept playing their commercials anyway until the former sponsors finally had to take them to court to make them stop, and they just faded away. They called the network "Air America". Maybe you've heard of it, probably not.

What for? Personally, I can name Ed Schultz and Thom Hartmann. That said, I can name plenty of TV personalities, as well as lefties in other media.
