Quite right. I live in the Seattle area. Sanitation and raw sewage from the homeless camps setting up in CHAZ are becoming a real problem. CHAZ is using their commandeered area as a base to launch raids elsewhere in the city.

The Utopian dream will truly turn into a real nightmare through the summer.

It largely seems to be. What's happening in CHAZ right now seems to support that idea.
The trouble with democracy as a form of government (what CHAZ is dreaming of becoming) is that it is unstable. Since there is no constitution, there is nothing preventing one faction or other from gaining some kind of control by force, which is what is now beginning to happen in CHAZ. Democracies almost always dissolve into dictatorships or oligarchies, and usually fairly quickly.

Right now, in CHAZ, there is one faction that is becoming strong enough to intimidate others with violence. They say they are the new 'police' but they are really just thugs, acting on their own idea of what is 'the law' (as if there was one in CHAZ).

Governor Inslee and Mayor Durkan are truly idiots. They are supporting this movement which desires nothing less than to destroy the government and the constitution itself. Many in CHAZ are demanding the governor's resignation, despite the aid being given to CHAZ by her.

CHAZ is already beginning to have to deal with problems of sanitation, businesses trying to operate without threats made against them (in some cases 'fees' invoked by the mob), supplies (trucks can't enter to deliver them), and a growing population of the city's homeless (complete with all their diseases and their own problems of sanitation) arriving more and more everyday, finding an easy mark to scam from.

Mayor Durkan has ordered Seattle Police to stand down to the point that they won't respond to anything that isn't an emergency anymore. Things like car prowls, theft, even break-ins, will simply not get police response.
CHAZ itself is using their occupied area as a base of operations to conduct raids elsewhere in the city, which they call 'peaceful protests'.

It is a dream that will become a nightmare as the summer waxes on. The city of Seattle is truly becoming a very dangerous place to be in right now. Stay away.

The sad thing is that the weak leaders with not enough smarts that we have in Seattle and in this clod Inslee is very common all through America now. The failure of the Elite Class has gone for so long and been so pervasive that very often people have no idea what good leadership looks like as they have never seen any, and "leaders" have no idea how to lead because doing their jobs as never been demanded, they never learn how to do it.

The West Seattle Bridge is very instructive....months after they decided that they had to close it they seem to have no idea what it going on with it....and just how does a bridge only make it to half of its lifespan?...bridge building is a very mature craft, it is not likely that the lifespan estimate was much wrong....it is much more likely that SDOT did not do the required maintenance. This bridge being out of service is much like having an open vein.....this is going to hurt....this is likely going to be draining Seattle of vitality for a long time. If this happened because of neglect that makes this all the worse. But look how Seattle Citizens just take it, there is very little chatter about this fuck-up. Reminds me of California where government routinely does not get its work done and the response from the imbecile citizens is mostly "Well I am sure they tried, shit happens, oh well, this sucks".

You'd have to be more specific than "meat" for it to hold much meaning with me. Meat, for effective purposes, does not contain carbs, but this also depends upon how one chooses to consume it. A plain hamburger, for example, effectively doesn't contain carbs, but a hamburger with a bun and/or condiments on it does contain carbs. Plain chicken and plain pork chops effectively do not contain carbs, but a breaded chicken or a breaded pork chop does contain carbs.

"Healthy fats" doesn't mean much of anything to me.


Many drinks also contain carbs.

Right on the bull's eye. The West Seattle bridge was simply not being maintained. And Seattle is doing nothing about this bridge, which connects West Seattle to I-5, Beacon Hill, and the downtown area.

While I had some difficulty following that, I kind of got that you think the wealthy should have the snot taxed out of them and that money used to "help" the poor. Endless, generous welfare helps few and mostly keeps those on it on it even generationally. Taxing the snot out of the rich just means the rich go elsewhere or find ways to avoid the taxes. The rich didn't get where they are by being stupid (except possibly those that inherit their wealth and idiots that win the lottery).
