What do you know? Ron Paul accepts money from White Supremacist!

People want to actually go watch the men's sports.

Is that supposed to be an argument?

College athletics don't simply exist to promote men.

Women, who out number men in college, watch women sports, and a large number of women CEO's in America played collega sports.

Athletic departments are a huge moneymaker for the schools. SO they focus resources on what people wantt to see, and what alumni give money for, men's sports. Yes, it is an argument. Your fixation on numerical equivalency of all things is obscene and deranged.

If I were you I wouldn't be using Darla as an example because that would only prove that white women are smarter than white men.

What was and still is wrong, is white men dominatiing American society and if that discrimination did not exist, there would be no need for AA.

Are there any opponents to AA that won't run away from the historical discrimination by white men and its negative impact to American society .. then offer a sound and sane alternative to AA that will address the issue of discrimination?

Yes, instead of A.A. I would advocate 'special status' if you will to those from an economically disadvantage background regardless of race. (This is a general overview lacking speficis). Fortunately there are a good number of black folks who are doing well economically and their kids have many of the same advantages that other middle class white and asian kids have.

Those coming from family's with limited means and forced to go to lowest performing schools because they have no other options deserve the most help in my opinion.

No. I'm using darla as an example of a brainwashed idiot. Obviously I feel she's not intelligent.

totally wrong. You don't undo discrimination with more discrimination. the ends do not justify the means in this scenario. Numerical equivalency does not represent a measure of justice. according to your logic, it would be fine to just machine gun the white population down to size.

Historical discrimination doesn't justify discrimination in the here and now. Go rework your sense of right and wrong and then get back to me.

Don't get it twisted dude .. there is no need for me to get back to you for any damn thing .. and Darla has exhibited far more intelligence and grasp of the issues than you sir .. which is why I warned you about using her and you as the examples.

Historical discrimnaition justifies change and redress. Ever heard of the Civil Rights Era?

AND .. your shrinking man paranoia didn't allow you to conjore up an answer to my question and offer a alternative to AA .. because you're quite comfortable with historical discrimination.

You shrink a bit more with every tick of the clock.

Perhaps you can explain why only men's teams should exist at schools with majority women student populations .. which is about all of them?

I believe all women and men who want to play sports in college should be able to (with the obvious caveat that they are good enough). Women are not being discriminated against in being able to play their sport. It is men's teams that are being cut to meet the numbers laid out by Title IX.

If you want to say Title IX worked and achieved its goal then great. But it is now having a negative effect against mens sports which is bullcrap in my opinion.

Yes. wacko, it's this fixation with numbers over actual justice and human ability and proclivity. Men are more into sports, by nature, GENERALLY. It's just true.

Colleges and institutions of higher learning do not exist solely to make money. That would be an insane position to take. Pro leagues exist to make money off athletes, not colleges.

The neanderthals are shrinking and one day they won't be seen or heard from again.

Yes there is. You're an advocate of "fairness through disrimination" truly big brother type splitminded, shitthought.

We'll just have to disagree on darla. I'm still comfortable with my decision to cite her in this context.

Yes. Undoing discriminatory policy. It's another thing altogether to insist whites be discriminated against until there is numerical equality in some realm or another.

No discrimination is the alternative i propose. I'm quite comfortable that most whites are NOT, in fact, racist. You're the paranoid one here.

Yeah, that's still AA Cawacko. That's called class-based AA, and it's being debated in liberal circles these days. I am very interested in hearing different sides of that debate. Eric Alterman, a well-known liberal writer and historian, advocates class-based AA, but he has not written on it yet.

i find this interesting, because they idea of you and Eric Alterman agreeing on anything, and further, of you advocating anything that is based in class (isn't that class warfare???), is a bit shocking, so as this idea circulates more and more, I will see if you are singing the same tune.

I do not know enough about the pros and cons of what this would look like to come down on it right now, but look forward to reading more.

Hi moron, you know what is especially funny is you calling me dumb after you just spent two days publically falling in love with and expressing the desire to breed with, a poster named angry white chick, and I know who it is, and I have been the one laughing at you. I haven't been laughing alone.

Talk about stupid.

It's called "needs based" programs. We already have it. I wonder if BAC still considers you the paragon of white female intelligence considering your abandonment of his racist position.

Share in the humor then. I like a good joke as much as anyone else.

I think you're full of it.

I guess you can't read either. I think you need to read my post again, I did no such thing.

Why don't you go look for angrywhitechick. I think "she" really likes you.

Perhaps you're more comfortable with women sports getting the short end, but I'm not and I have a daughter and a neice who are both good athletes. They deserve every opportunity a male athlete does including admission into college based on their athletic and academic excellence.

Black, no women are getting shut out. There is a disconnect here. Title IX is based upon athletic teams matching the male/female ratio at the school. As you agreed most Universities these days have more female than male students. Therefore to keep with Title IX mens programs are having to be cut, not womens.

Your daughter and neice are not going to be stopped from playing a college sport (again assuming they have the ability). If you had or have a son he might be stopped because of Title IX.

How so? I would be interested in someone putting me on like that. It's kind of funny.

I actually feel kind of bad now, because I can tell you were really starting to have feelings for this faceless, nameless poster on the internets, but you have indeed been the butt of an evil joke.
