I dont know where it will start if it starts, but we are closer than we were yesterday, last week, last month, 5/10/15 years ago.

Reckless/stupid/sadistic is a nasty combo when it comes to survival.
 
Yet the Palestinians after losing at least 4 wars are permanent refugees expecting they will be gifted lands that they never owned as a nation. A people with no achievements, no mention in historical literature and possessed by a Death Cult as their sole raison d’etre. A people living entirely on welfare, who's mother's bear sons whom they hope will become suicide bombers to kill Jews.

Conventional wisdom states that it will start with the US intervening to prevent Iran from defeating terrorist Israel. This has been expected since the 1970s- e.g. British movie ' Threads ' and several others.
