what do the protestors actually want?

I know what the OP is saying, but basic justice is not enough anymore, or at least that's my guess.

I think some of them think, well, what if no one was filming this incident? It's impossible to stop every incident, but they want an end to the pattern of behavior.

what do the protestors actually want?

Obviously free shit. There is little "protesting" going on. Most of it is looting and destroying property.
I think it's mainly the domestic terror group, Antifa, being shipped in from other states. They need to tear gas the snot nosed little shits.

What do they want? They want the police to provide their end of the social contract. The police victimize minorities and abuse them. They do not treat blacks with any respect and treat them like non-citizens. A good start would be for police to answer for what they do way short of killing them. It takes killing them to hit the news. All people should be treated with respect by police. The judicial treatment should also be equal. They live in reality in which they get sentenced far longer for the same crimes whites do. They have less opportunities for drug treatment too, They are used to that. But when a cop kills a black man because he can, he steps over that low, low bar . Then they get angry.

There is no statistical analysis to back that claim, higher rates of the use of force correspond proportionally to where crimes are committed, that blacks and minorities come into contact with law enforcement is a correlation to the fact that blacks and hispanics have a disproportionately higher crime rate.

So shove your BLM terrorist propaganda up your ass there is zero evidence that the death of George Floyd was in any way racially motivated.

Perhaps if they abide with the law they would find themselves confronting law enforcement quite so much.

time for my copypasta

In addition to all of the facts exonerating Police Officer Wilson, In addition to a grand jury refusing to indict, I would also like to remind you that there was an independent, federal investigation by the Eric Holder led Department of Justice.

Their conclusions were as follows:

Fact 1: "Darren Wilson's actions do not constitute prosecutable violations":

Fact 2: "The evidence, when viewed as a whole, does not support the conclusion that Wilson use of deadly force were objectively unreasonable
(see above screenshot)

Fact 3: Michael Brown likely did reach into Wilson’s vehicle and grab the officer(from the report):

"Brown [reaching into SUV] is corroborated by bruising on Wilson's jaw and scratches on his neck, the presence of Browns' DNA on Wilson's collar, shirt, and pants, and Wilson's DNA on Brown's palm"

Fact 4:
"Michael Brown did double back toward Darren Wilson "

Fact 5: The witnesses that were against Wilson had testimony that was "inconsistent with the physical and forensic evidence"

“Wilson attempted to open the driver’s door of the SUV to exit his vehicle, but as he swung it open, the door came into contact with Brown’s body and either rebounded closed or Brown pushed it closed. Wilson and other witnesses stated that Brown then reached into the SUV through the open driver’s window and punched and grabbed Wilson. This is corroborated by bruising on Wilson’s jaw and scratches on his neck, the presence of Brown’s DNA on Wilson’s collar, shirt, and pants, and Wilson’s DNA on Brown’s palm. While there are other individuals who stated that Wilson reached out of the SUV and grabbed Brown by the neck, prosecutors could not credit their accounts because they were inconsistent with physical and forensic evidence..”

the guy was arrested in like 3 days. he's been charged with 3rd degree murder and manslaughter with more charges pending. Almost everyone across america views this incident as awful. This isn't contentious like michael brown (who deserved to be shot because he tried to murder a cop after robbing a store) or trayvon martin, who viciously attacked a man breaking no laws. So like - everyone is on board with this one. THe president is on board. Teflon don is on board. we are all in agreement this guy shouldn't have been killed by cops. This should be a good thing we all agree. So what are protestors actually asking for right now other than the right to break shit? can someone explain?

The argument would be something along the lines of ‘systemic racism in the police force’.

One of the problems I have with these issues when they come up is that so many people *assume* race was an issue. How can anyone be so sure the idiot cop wouldn’t have done thing to a white man?

White cop + black victim=racism!!

How is it even possible to start a conversation on how to fix things when that is going on?

They wanted to peaceably assemble to redress their tyrannical Democrat governance for legitimate grievances but they have long since dispersed and been replaced with violent leftist BLM and Antifa terrorist rioters and opportunists.

You were doing so well until the last part. :palm:

It's definitely possible this cop was just a bad cop and an a*hole. Sounds like he had a history of bad behavior and its possible it was against people of all races. So the reflexive response is to yell racism, and it's possible it was racially motivated, but it's also possible it wasn't.
