A video of the incident captured by one of the men showed the white woman had another waitress ask the men to leave. In their opinion, the footage showed how the woman sought to criminalize them based on their race.

“What did we do?” asked one of the truckers.

“But why do we have to leave?” the trucker asks. “We just came to order food.”

“I don’t know,” the server says.

“That’s not right,” he replies.

They refused to leave at first, saying they didn’t want to go before officers arrived because there would be only one account of the incident given to law enforcement.

Denny’s has grappled with persistent discrimination and alleged racism in its restaurants for decades. In 1993, six Black Secret Service agents sued a Denny’s in Annapolis, Maryland, for refusing to serve them.

“The suit said the six were among 21 Secret Service agents who went for breakfast at the Denny’s in Annapolis, Md., on April 1, after preparing for President Clinton’s visit to the United States Naval Academy,” reported The New York Times 30 years ago. “The restaurant served breakfast to all except the six black agents, who were sitting at the same table, although a single breakfast arrived after an hour’s wait,” the suit said.

Does their corporate history of racism have something to do with the fact the company absorbed many of the old Sambo's restaurants and used their mid-century design in some of their restaurants?

At least they were not at Popeyes and got stabbed or shot over a chicken sandwich

Its been open season on blacks killing blacks at Popeyes for many years all across America and NOT A PEEP from you about it. One waitress has an issue with blacks at a Denny's and u have a hard on because u can scream racist racist look at the racist

I know exactly how these Black men must have felt, as I learned at an early age that there are some very hateful people out there in the world. And my family is White!

I remember the Summer after John F. Kennedy was assassinated here in my hometown of Dallas Texas. My Dad took us on one of our many National Lampoon Vacations out West.

We had been driving through the Utah desert and we were all hungry, so my Dad pulled into one of those little Country Diners out in the middle of NOWHERE, on the Highway, and pulled right up front in our Bonneville station wagon.

We went in and no one seated us, so my dad just found an open table and we sat down. The place was pretty well packed and busy. No one even came over and handed us a menu. After we sat there for about 20 minutes, and after we noticed people coming in after us, were already being served their meals, my Dad, asked the waitress, "Can you wait on our table please"?

She said, "You people are from Texas aren't you"? My Dad said yes! And she said, "We don't serve Texans here"! :palm:

My Dad, didn't even bother to say anything further to her, he just said to me, My Mom, and two sisters, "Come on let's go"!

So we got up and left and as my Dad closed the double glass doors behind us, HE SLAMMED THEM SO HARD, THE WINDOW GLASS FELL OUT AND SHATTERED ON THE GROUND! :)

We got in the car and drove all the way out of that state, and we never went back to that state, as we would drive way out of our way to avoid it.

It is just unbelievable how hateful some people can be.

My parents concluded that they must have seen our Texas License Plate, and they were still upset about the president being assassinated in our state or something! There just wasn't any other explanation!

Wow

Wonder how the families of the black people shot and stabbed beat up at Popeye's by other blacks feel.... But let's concentrate on shit that we can play the race card with that's the important thing not blacks getting killed and assaulted at a restaurant
