What about Wiki is untrustable

This is what wiki fights against every day.

Then the same people who do this to them tell you that Wiki is a bad source.

Its the same old crap the right has been doing for years.
 
It is the goal of many to discredit all sources of information that go against their beliefs.
Be they business, political or religious based beliefs.

Well, they'd know wouldn't they? I mean, isn't that just like a con, seriously? They run in there and insert BS into wiki, and then, because they know how easy it is to do, and fear that libs are doing it, tell people that wiki has a liberal bias, and they need their own conservative wiki. They are absolutely shameless, just shameless.

I like Wiki. When there isn't enough back-up for their assertions they are told to cite sourcing.

Cool stuff, actually. Over time it will become awesome.

One student at my university told me that their professor likes to fuck around on Wiki. Liberal professors do the same thing - tell us why we can't cite it in our papers and then go screw with it for kicks.

So even though Wiki's founder has said the site has a slight liberal leaning and even though are a plethora of examples of people 'hacking' if that is the correct term conservative issues or individuals on the site its good to know you see it from one side only.
 
That guy was a genius. He hacked our school's ACTCard system for student financial accounts just to prove that it was vulnerable. He made a presentation where he was going to show how he did it but the company's lawyers got a gag order on him and literally stopped him in themiddle of the presentation. All of this was when he was like 20 or so. He has an awesome life.

Instead of citing wikipedia directly, you should cite the pages it cites. That's an easy way to avoid that restriction, and a good way to subvert your professors ignorance on its level of accuracy.

That is pretty awesome. I knew students in grade school who were serial hackers of the school computers. They even showed me how to hack the Apple 88's in our fossil lab in 5th grade. The school had two other labs with newer computers (the lab was shut down and turned into a classroom shortly after I moved on). You would press like three buttons when they were starting up and it would shut the security off - then you could do whatever the fuck you wanted like print 99 pages of porn and walk away.

Obviously, by the time we were in high school, they were being challenged by better technicians and more sophisticated technology.
