What a boob....

You can always count on bravo not doing the research before opening his piehole.

It was an unearned 'gotcha' on Obama, BUT

My comment consisted of "Fort Hayes didn't exist during the Civil War...."

Are you gonna deny that fact ?

The United States Congress established Fort Hayes in 1877 as the Columbus Arsenal.

The Civil War was over in 1865....

Are you and the meatheads that agree with you, re-writing your own history ?

I'm going to say that 1861 was the onset of the Civil War.

"The 77-acre military post known today as Fort Hayes in Columbus was born out of the need for a federal arsenal to store and repair Ordinance Corps arms and to equip Ohio regiments called to duty during the Civil War. Columbus, in 1861, was a small city of 19,000 inhabitants confined to a relatively small geographic area. That same year Congress authorized the erection of an armory and arsenal in Columbus."

What a dope you are Bravo.

The best part, chrisite, is that the very building Obama was standing in is the former "Shot Tower," and was completed in 1864.

Looks like you finally getting it....1861 - the year Congress authorized the erection of an armory and arsenal in Columbus

But we're not really talking about Columbus are we.....we are talking about Fort Hayes, and we've alreday established that the United States Congress established Fort Hayes in 1877 as the Columbus Arsenal.

Its really amazing how pinheads just dig in rather than admit their mistakes....I love it.

There ya go, Bravo, even though 8 other posters proved you wrong, and you agreed you are wrong,

Alias comes along and say you are right.

And Dems say Sarah Palin isn't Presidential material.....:palm:

Barack Obama went to Fort Hayes High School in Fort Hayes, Ohio last week to see them on the American Jobs Act, but maybe he should have stopped for a class in local history first. Obama promised that his bill would get spent in part renovating buildings at Fort Hayes, but Obama seemed to be unclear just when they were built:
Ohio, if you pass this bill, then right here in this state, tens of thousands of construction workers will have a job again. (Applause.) This is one of the most common-sense ideas out there. All over the country, there are roads and bridges and schools just like Fort Hayes in need of repair.*Some of the buildings here at Fort Hayes were originally built during the Civil War.*That’s old.

Fort Hayes didn't exist during the Civil War....

Its a good thing they didn't ask him about Paul Revere...

Poor Blabo. He just copies n' pastes from rightwing hate sites.

What the president said is 100% correct.*

Blabo thinks that Fort Hayes must have existed prior to the buildings being erected, when in fact, the building existed during the Civil War before Fort Hayes was named.

Nobody even had to hack Wikipedia to prove Blabos' stupidity.

Poor Blabo.

Why don't you give it a try....prove that this armory was called Fort Hayes before 1865....hurry I'm holding my breath.
I hope Christiefan helps you....

You think consensus makes something right....???

Nobody said it was called Fort Hayes during the Civil War.

Poor Blabo. His only supporters are banned trolls.

there was nothing in op to play 'gotcha' with Obama on'....that was unfair of me....said that back in Post 16...

The ONLY claim I made was "Fort Hayes didn't exist during the Civil War...."

Why argue with me, THAT IS A FACT.....

Its now Post 36 and you're still claiming there was a place called Fort Hayes during the Civil War...? You're wrong

There is 2 different issues rolling around here that you can't seem to separate....one in the first line and the other in the second line.

Nice tapdance. It's good if it makes you feel better, because it's not convincing anyone else.

You look like a fool, again. Haha.
