WH: President Obama Has Ended the War in Iraq

But liberals said it was over, they bowed to their master, didn't they?
was it possible to get Maliki to extend the SOFA? maybe.but it never was on the table, and in all probability al-Sadr would have used it against Maliki..

Iraq was FUBAR from the beginning, I doubt anything could have been better. De-Baathification ensured an insurgency.

The Obama screw up was sitting around while ISIS advanced across Iraq.

Funny how when Obama sends troops, liberals seem not to care.

americans in general don't care about Iraq and Syria -or SA and Iran all that much.
They are positively ignorant about Egypt and Libya..all they know is ISIS in Syria/Iraq.

They have no clue about tending alliances, geo-politics or Russian and Iranian expansion.
It's one reason they support Johnson -they just want to disengage

^ officially no. but they are embedded -so in practicality - yes.

The US troops will also be involved in intelligence gathering and providing logistical support. US officials have repeatedly stressed American troops are not in a ground combat role, but special forces have fought with peshmerga on a number of occasions that have been made public. Three US soldiers have been killed in clashes.

"American forces combating ISIL in Iraq are in harm's way... no one should be in any doubt about that," Carter said.

Hey, dopey - this is and will ALWAYS be Bush's war. Sadly, Bush & his idiot supporters rushed to invade, creating a power vacuum and a basically untenable situation for not just Obama but likely a long line of successors to try to both clean up & find a way to at least maintain some semblance of stability.

It's a ridiculous task, but since we created the situation, we can't abandon our most minimal responsibilities there.

This thread is the height of insipid, apologist thought. Congrats.
