We've launched Tomahawk missile strikes in Syria

We've launched Tomahawk missile strikes from our Naval ships in Syria.

They're striking bases storing chemical weapons at Shayrat Air Base

USS Porter and USS Ross.

Limited at present to 60 missiles.

FOX says Trump will be speaking sometime soon.

hopefully it's just Tomahawks..Assad can survive that -but if we are going in with bombing runs..that's regime change..

At least it's proportional response and not "taking out Assads' Air force" like Clinton wanted

Gen. Keane is speaking now...very limited...Syria air power is weak...just sending a narrow message regarding the chemical attacks...we're not aiming at Iranians and Russians that are in other areas of Syria.

Maybe Xi will get a leeeeetle nervous about his support of North Korea now, LOL. Breakfast at Mara A Lago should be interesting tomorrow. :)

Indeed lol.

The Trump-Mattis dynamic might give NK a pit of pause as well.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at that breakfast......

Xi: Good morning Mr. President. May I hold your chair for you sir? Here...please let me pour your coffee. Anything you'd like me to tell Kim????

Per FOX:

Pentagon releasing imagery soon.

Russian forces who were on that base were warned ahead of time about the attack. (alrighty then :))

They took deliberate measures to not hit the chemical weapons, just wanted to take out their means of delivery.

Holy crap, when I heard that 59 Tomahawks were launched I thought it was a mistake in reporting since several TLAM-D's would be enough to ruin a couple runways (this is the version that drops bomblets for such a purpose), but reports are correct, these were the TLAM-C's (or maybe the upgraded Bloc-IV version) with 1000 pound warheads. I would love to see what the airstrips look like now, wow.

Note that the actual variation names were not reported but I am familiar with them.
