This has just become a cause Celebre for conservatives. They clearly don't give it much thought, beyond "liberals are bad."

"We" just want to know why lefties can't deal with history.
Your arguments are getting weaker & weaker.
It's all what we choose to honor & celebrate, and what we don't. You seem very passionate about honoring & celebrating slavery.
And these fucks that the Universities graduate now and have over at least the last decade know nothing....they are supremely ignorant....all they know is the WOKE Religon which they have been indoctrinated with.
A degree alone does not confer on you being smart or knowledgeable. As an example, I was made a "separatee" on watch from a junior officer who was an Annapolis grad (aka "Ring knocker") because of several discussions while on watch--watch standing can be very boring and these things occur regularly) over US naval ship design and such. He may have had a degree from the US Naval Academy, but I had decades of studying US naval ship design and the resources to prove it.
He got mad that an enlisted was showing him up and things got heated. The Chief Engineer decreed that we would not be put on the watch bill together.
I understand that this country had a history and whether you lefties like it or not, it needs to be learned. This world is not about what you lefties think we should study.
next lib'ruls will be denying the Civil War ever happened........they'll claim the Demmycrats freed all the slaves because they had a change of heart.......
Or, they just won't honor & celebrate those who fought to perpetuate slavery.
There's that, too.
Sorry pussyboy if actual history offends you

YAYYYY!!! We are saved!!!!
You know the irony in this? Inside the walls of that institution, they will continue to study these men and their strategies and tactics and the entire anatomy of that war and that period of American history. Ostensibly, to "ensure it never happens again" (also, many of them were brilliant warriors). In less than a generation, only men at arms will know real American history.
