- Rohingya Genocide.
- Srbenica Massacre.
- 2020 Delhi riots
- Yemen terror famine by USA / Saudi Blockade.
- USA wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya etc.

Its true. Nixon believed opening China up would eventually lead to an end of the Communist regime. I didn't. Just made them a world economic and now military power.

but Soviets developed Nukes AFTER USA had.

Potsdam Conference was BEFORE Soviets had nukes.
But
Potsdam Conference was AFTER USA tested Nukes.

Potsdam allowed Soviets & Stalin the butcher into most of Central & all of Eastern Europe.

The truth is Truman, and Churchill could have threatened Soviets with Nukes & war.

Instead, we allowed them to get Nukes.

Therefor they are also accomplices in the Cold War.

Yes, and no. What I see is greater power that wishes to pacify to maintain the superstructure through conventional means, and lesser power who wishes to throw it off but uses barbaric asymmetric means.

I do not accept the view that the end result in either case would be more preferential. In fact, I truly believe the western model is superior.
I believe in liberal democracy and a rules based order. I do not believe that terrorists can fulfill their mission were they to impose it. They would be tyrants
and murderers and subjugate women and deprive vote (not unlike republicans)

True enough.

But, they aren't an organized super power like Russia, USA, or China which cause more mayhem.

Ultimately, there are also anti-Islamic abuses.

General Patton was right. He wanted to go after the Soviets right after WW2, while they were still weakened from the war. At least kick them out of eastern Europe.

There's no premium placed on human life in China. They don't share Western values, as a rule.

The speaker at a recent seminar was a Chinese native who taught at the University of Hawaii in Comparative Western and Chinese political philosophy. He explained how each point of view (Chinese and Western) works from the Chinese perspective.

In Western philosophy, an individuals’ interactions with other individuals are the chief measurement of life. Thus, the individual is valued, so life is valued.

The Chinese worldview is based upon collectivism. Their historically population-dense society doesn't afford them the luxury of caring about individuals. They believe in the collective unit rather than the individual. Living and dying are accepted equally.

Yes, well that probably would've put Soviets 30 years behind on developing Nukes & pushing Communism around into East Europe, China, Vietnam, Korea etc.

The truth is Patton was right.

We should have ONLY threatened Nukes on rural outskirts of Japan, China, and Russia.

The truth is Truman instead killed a lot of Japanese civilians, but helped Communism to spread.
