I say the government should be the arbiters of who gets to buy what at the grocery store. People who are obese will be forced to eat properly, thus bring the rate of heart disease down dramatically, de-escalate health care costs, and we won't have to look at their fat asses in the grocery lines that will inevitably wrap around two city blocks while our government cheese and milk is distributed to us.

The point I was trying to make, which you seemed to missed entirely, is that Topspin makes absurd statements which can only be attributed to his appalling ignorance of matters beyond the shores of the USA. I chose the example of Iran as I imagine mosr Americans believe it to be a place akin to Mordor rather than populated by ordinary human beings.

The wife and I have a 20+ year game going whenever we're in a public venue on who can locate the fattest person at that location. We have certain hand signals and protocols for discretion, and have expanded it to categories: fattest woman, fattest man, fattest couple, fattest kid, fattest family. Our kids have picked up on it.

I don't see Obabacare wiping out obesity any time soon. In fact, as Democrat policies get more insidious, I see folks getting even fatter as personal responsibility becomes more vilified.
