We're #1?!!

Odd... I do believe you were with us going into Iraq. Are you not also in Afghanistan dear chap?

This thread was about the crime rates etc... and the comparison of countries. If you don't care about such, why are you on this thread?

Sorry grammar nazi... do the math is an expression here. If you don't like it, tough titties.

Yes, a new country that beat the crap out of an imperialistic bunch of assholes. (with a nice assist going to your betters in France)

Take a good look around you... the UK has been back sliding for decades now... and yours is the more violent of the two nations as the crime stats indicate.

Indeed the British economy is not in a particularly healthy state. However what endears us to much of the rest of the world and which makes you a figure of hatred is our culture whereas you appear to revel in your arrogance and unpopularity. You may continue to use 'math' as long as you wish and it will continue to be just one tiny example of your total stupidity. but there is no law against being thick. (Just as well, no one could build sufficient gaols to contain all Ameicans.)

LOL... yeah, people are totally endeared to the British. You are the only one displaying arrogance. You are the one trying to demonstrate your 'superiority' and tell us just how 'awesome' you are in the UK. Take a look at our histories, the UK has done far more harm than good.

the 'you suck' was a reference to the UK, not you personally. It was a collective sucking of your country.

How many violent crimes has your country had today? oh yeah, more per capita than the USA. Congrats!

'do the math' is correct

His country is China, so we should really ask how many peaceful protesters he's murdered.

Keep believing. After all if someone is worse than you you have license not to get better. Yeah. Uganda is pretty bad at everything and you are not as bad as Uganda so that's OK.

Bingo. 'Go live in Iran' is offered up by those defending the Patriot Act, the war on women, etc.

If you wish to insult then please use language the insultee understands.
I suck sweets, a not unpleasant pastime and difficult to turn into an insult.

Personally I do not know and do not care about per capita crime figures. We havent invaded as many sovereign nations as you have and we do not kill our prisoners. And finally, I am very sorry to inform you that the contraction of 'mathematicS' can only be maths. It is a plural denoting the mathematical sciences including geometry, astronomy, optics, algebra and, I guess, sums. So, you see, your teachers were wrong and you are wrong. It is a plural noun.

I know yours is a new country, but your arrogance is preventing you from any hope of improvement. Unless you change you are destined to become a confused, violent, back sliding nation..... oops! you beat me to it! :)
GB lost her colonies, and GB was complicit in the destruction of Libya, ya GB is a little less warlike - would be hard to top the USA in "#1" category there, but the past casts a lot of shadows.
We just drone them now -much easier than actually taking a prisoner.

So you are against the Patriot act, yet the President currently in the office strengthened and extended it? You are against rendition, I assume, yet it is still used.

Our "manly" President has leaks in his Administration telling us all how he sits in such a manly way once a week approving the death lists of people we'll bomb by remote control, while people who hated that kind of bombing while Bush was in office because the collateral damage created terrorists suddenly think it is magically so accurate only the people on his list will get killed.

Gotcha... "go live in Iran"... What a perfect solution.

Oh, wait. I get it now. The point I made got buried under your all-purpose tool, partisanship. Now it's about 'But OBAMA does it' and then the rest of your blather is an insinuation that it's okay with me because you (wrongly) assume I voted for Obama, and...

Yawn.

Just like your assumption that Damo supported the PA under Bush. And you know you voted for Obama, because you sure as shit didn't vote for McCain or Barr.

I see. So you didn't vote for Obama? Neither did I... Who do you plan on voting for this time? I assume with the horrific record against all things you don't support it won't be Obama once again... So, who will it be?

As for violent crime, I would suggest that killing someone is somewhat violent and you are at least three times better at that than us poor amateurs in GB.

..

Analysis of figures from the European Commission showed a 77 per cent increase in murders, robberies, assaults and sexual offences in the UK since Labour came to power.

The total number of violent offences recorded compared to population is higher than any other country in Europe, as well as America, Canada, Australia and South Africa.

It means there are over 2,000 crimes recorded per 100,000 population in the UK, making it the most violent place in Europe.

By comparison, America has an estimated rate of 466 violent crimes per 100,000 population.

Where did I assume Damo supported the PA under Bush?

And no, I didn't vote for Obama, nor McCain, nor Barr. I voted for Nader.

The only asses exposed here are yours, when you ASSume you know shit that you know nothing about.

Don't know yet. I tend to avoid cooperating with the 'lesser-evil' rigged game, if I can. I'm hoping a viable 3rd party contender emerges before November, otherwise, yes, I'll hold my nose and vote against the sociopathic whackjob, Romney.

Greens have Jill Stein -too close to AIPAC.
Check out Gary Johnson ( libertarian). if you can get past the party label. He's an honorable man, was a good NM gov, and has worked tirelessly for NORML

WEST BOCA — – He's so conservative that he'd slash federal spending across the board, including sacred cows most Democrats and Republicans are afraid to touch. He's so liberal that he'd legalize marijuana, immediately withdraw U.S. forces from Afghanistan and support marriage for same-sex couples as a constitutional right.

Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate for president, is completely unlike what's offered up by the two major parties — and that's what appeals to his supporters.

"He's in line with where America is," said Michael Coughlin, 48, of Boca Raton. "Gary is reality."

Coughlin, a Navy retiree, was among about 30 people who gathered Thursday at a Palm Beach County branch library to meet Johnson and pepper him with questions.

They heard a candidate who believes the government has no business doing much of what it does, from snooping on citizens via the Patriot Act to stationing troops around the world.

On federal spending, Johnson said he'd balance the federal budget through across-the-board spending cuts of 43 percent, which he said would bring spending in line with tax revenue. Even after military spending cuts of that magnitude, he said defense funding would be at 2003 levels, many times higher than any another nation's.

On immigration, he favors making it as easy as possible for anyone who wants to get a work permit after passing a background check. "Don't build a fence. What an incredible waste of time and resources," he said.

Thanks for the info, man. I am looking at Johnson more closely, as he seems to be gaining in viability. I hope he's given access to the debates, but I'm not holding my breath on that.

no prob. BAC is checking him out too ( where is BAC??). he's not perfect, but he's not part of the duopoly.
The ONLY way to effect any real change in this country detours around the entrenched special interests they glom up.

American are fucking stupid -no other way to say it -keep looking at the same old professional politicians for some glimmer of distance between the
Wholly Owned Corporatists.(WOC's)
