Not at all. If Obama were allowed to run, he would have been elected again with record numbers. Hillary is not Obama. For all the noise about ACA in the final week of the election, record numbers have signed up out of fear about Trump taking away their health insurance.

While that may be true [or it may not be], Obama would only be re-elected because blacks would turn out for him like they didn't for Hillary.

His policies suck. Obama's approval numbers were high but a clear majority thought the country was going in the wrong direction and wanted change. And the only way to square that circle is to conclude that Obama is well liked---policies and leadership, not so much. Under-ticket democrats would never admit it in public, but they're glad to see him go---after successive shellackings.

Kind of like the crazy uncle you only see at Christmas. He's entertaining for an afternoon but you're happy to show him the door at the end of the day.

Real leaders do not feel compelled to lie about genitalia in a debate about policy.

I'd agree about the genre you mention, and especially Adkins, who spent a season on Celebrity Apprentice. He's a shill for the bogus Wounded Warrior project, much like Trump is a phony supporter of veterans.

The other side of the coin, is that even artists who would be honored to participate are being threatened by boycotts from 50% of their markets.

What you ignore, is the unprecedented need by this P.E for constant media attention. Otherwise, a competing event would not even be considered. This is not about outcomes. It is not about having any affect on policy moving forward.

This is similar to the racist Blue Wall of NYPD who turned their backs on the new mayor when he spoke at the funeral of the slain cops. It's nothing more than a gesture. One that a real leader would simply ignore, as de Blasio did, and a C list actor will obsess about....as the Orange One will.

But, criticizing Obama's 'policies' without mention of unprecedented obstructionist agenda by Congress, simply paints a blurry picture of history.

The reason Obama pissed off the Left, is because he never stopped trying to appease those who would never work with him. From the day he picked his cabinet, he attempted to govern from the center. He offered the Right plenty of opportunity to compromise, but they denounced their own pet policies every time.

I have to wonder about the future Dem..where are they?
maybe if Bernie had been nominatd and won -that might have brought out some future leaders.

But as you correctly assess "Obama would have been re-elected" ,,he didn't.
Are his numbers transferable? The Dems are in disarray down to the statehouse levels.
