Who was judge or politico back in the 70's when trying to define pornography only stated, "I can't tell you what it is except that I know it when I see it."

What really tickles me is the shotguns. 12% more people thought the Mossberg should be banned over the Benelli. I wonder why? The Benelli is actually a semi-auto and fires a round every time you pull the trigger. It's more accurate with less recoil than the Mossberg AND it's faster firing. The Remington 700 is a superbly accurate sniper rifle, much more so than the AR-15 and AK-47, and over a much longer range. That Golden Boy is no slouch either, with a nice 30-30 round and a scope. And more people are killed in the U.S. with variants of that Taurus 605 than all of these guns put together. So I don't really know what SMK is thinking about here, ban the ugliest guns?:dunno:

They told us which ones should be banned.

"The very purpose of the Bill of Rights was to withdraw certain subjects from the vicissitudes of political controversy, to place them beyond the reach of majorities and officials and to establish them as legal principles to be applied by the courts. One's right to life, liberty, and property, to free speech, a free press, freedom of worship and assembly, and other fundamental rights may not be submitted to vote they depend on the outcome of no elections." -- West Virginia State Bd. of Ed. v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624, 638 (1943)
