Our gov't is all about the PEOPLE. That's the whole deal. Every vote should count equally toward a Presidential result.

I get that Republicans are afraid of that. But it's time for them to adjust their messaging, to appeal to MORE people. That's how you should have to win elections.

Guess it's not enough for them that more rural states already have disproportionate representation in the Senate, and a SCOTUS that is so far right-wing that it is cartoonishly out of step w/ mainstream Americans.

Ah, but the refugees to whom you refer as illegal aliens are not representing the governments that they're fleeing.
Again, no treason applies.

One mustn't engaged in a battle of wits while unarmed.
I'm very sorry that they did away with the Saturday morning cartoons, thus depriving your mind from grasping something it understands.

I guess you need to be on "ignore" for a while.

They bring their flags, celebrations and cultures to America. Shouldn't they leave all that shit at home if that is what they are fleeing?

You are promoting illegal aliens vote in our elections, by your definition you are a traitor
It's a violation of Federal law for an illegal to vote in a federal election, dumbass.

https://www.usa.gov/who-can-vote
Who Can and Can’t Vote in U.S. Elections
You can vote in U.S. federal, state, and local elections if you:
  • Are a U.S. citizen (some areas allow non-citizens to vote in local elections only)
  • Meet your state’s residency requirements
  • You can be homeless (PDF, Download Adobe Reader) and still meet these requirements.
  • Are 18 years old on or before Election Day (some areas allow 16 year olds to vote in local elections only)
  • In almost every state, you can register to vote before you turn 18 if you will be 18 by Election Day.
  • Are registered to vote by your state’s voter registration deadline. North Dakota does not require voter registration.

Who CAN’T Vote?
  • Non-citizens, including permanent legal residents cannot vote in federal, state, and most local elections.
  • Some people following felony convictions or who are currently serving time for other types of crimes. Rules are different in each state. Check this guide from the Department of Justice (PDF, Download Adobe Reader) to understand the laws in your state.
  • Some people who are mentally incapacitated. Rules vary by state.
  • For president in the general election: U.S. citizens residing in U.S. territories

Only complete dumbasses think someone looking for a job and permanent residency in the US would commit a federal crime resulting in prison, eventual deportation and never allowed to legally enter the US for the rest of their lives.

Our forefathers built the best country in the world. I feel like I won the lottery to have been born here. Hundreds of thousands of people a month are risking their lives for a chance to live here. I trust our forefathers judgement MUCH more than I trust yours. If it bothers you then you should move to a smaller population state or another country.

If the original Constitution was perfect, why was there a separate Bill of Rights? Why has the Constitution been amended?

You know that some of our forefathers didn't want the electoral college....right?

But if a candidate for president won every state by 51% to 49%, he/she would win 100% of the electoral votes. Do you think that's a good representation of the people's choice?
Methinks any system that would designate the candidate who didn't get the majority of votes to win is flawed.

If a presidential candidate wins every state by 51%-49% he wins a majority of the popular vote nationally and also wins the presidency. That seems representative of the majority of voters.

I don't think most (representative) democracies choose their chief executive by popular vote. Most are parliamentary systems in which the majority party chooses the prime minister.

See that is proof the Constitution works. The forefathers were smart enough to provide a method to amend the Constitution so if YOU don't like it use those methods to amend the Constitution.

The 12th amendment did amend the operation of the electoral college.

Agreed. Every March 17th, I'm Irish. Every Cinco de Mayo, I'm Mexican....the oddity being the Cinco de Mayo is a bigger holiday in the US than Mexico. LOL

Most US holidays are imports. Anyone who doesn't know that should read more history. :)

Here we go again with the uneducated bullshit. Then why flee their country in the first place? Would you be stupid enough to move to France without speaking french (duh, don't answer that question)?
