I guess you didn't watch him being so focused on the enthusiastic crowd... you do realize why they're so "enthusiastic"?
The small ruling tier of conservatives
want no restraints on corporatism whatsoever.
On their own, they don't have enough votes to elect a county animal control officer.
They get tens of millions of working class voters
who suffer economically from their policies
but vote with them nonetheless.
They do that by pandering to the socially regressive views held by these working class people,
particular in the South and in Middle America.
It's one thing to say that one isn't political but cares only about "traditional American values,"
values which more cosmopolitan Americans don't necessarily share,
but to do that is to forcefully support economic injustice,
economic injustice that negatively impacts the very people voting for it.
Coastal liberals are regarded as elitist snobs in conservative America
because they belittle the intelligence of social conservatives who routinely vote against
their own economic best interests.
I hate to pile on,
but it really isn't very smart to vote against your own economic bests interests
for any reason.
Most people who really hate Biden hate him for social reasons and aren't that politically or economically sophisticated.
It's more important to mistrust non-WASPS, foreign immigrants, and the sexually confused.
It is impossible for my mind to comprehend that,
as I tend to be more logic oriented.
