I haven't watched any of his shows. But he is obviously an idiot or a racist. Either is an excellent reason to fire him.
 
I didn't think we fired people in the entertainment business unless their ratings went down? That was the case with Letterman, right? How can an aging sleazebag crack sexual jokes about minor children, and that is okay while this isn't? I don't get the double standard.

Let's let Killemeade issue a couple of half-hearted apologies and see where Fox & Friends ratings are at the end of the week? Isn't that what we did with Dave?

If you can't tell the difference between what is expected of a news anchor on a news talk show and the host of a late night show devoted entirely to entertainment, you really shouldn't be posting in this thread.

But I guess your point is that as long as we can find something else that offends us we cannot speak out against anything?

I'm sorry, but Fox & Friends is NOT a "news program" and Brian Killemeade is NOT a "news anchor." It is as much an entertainment show as Letterman, and most of the time, more funny and entertaining.

Except that Fox & Friends is part of the FoxNews Channel and Letterman is a late night entertainer.

From the FoxNews website:

I stand corrected that Kilmeade is not a news anchor but a sports anchor reporting on breaking news.

There is another obvious distinction you fail to mention. Letterman's "joke" was written, planned and prepared in advance, rehearsed, and recorded before a live studio audience. Kilmeade's comments were impromptu off-the-cuff remarks before a live audience. I think that should count for something.
