Many members of Congress (including almost all Senators) were already millionaires when elected.

Members of Congress who became millionaires while in office did it the same way many of my friends who work at the plants and fellow college instructors did so. Their money went into the stock marked and after 30-40 years they easily had over a million. Were they corrupt?

There are over 30 million millionaires in the U. S. That is the population of the smallest 34 states.

If it is so obvious it should be easy to give us an example of your Congressman doing something illegal for money. A lot of things that are obvious are just old repeated cliches with no real evidence to support it.

To you it is obvious there was voter fraud but you can present no evidence to support it and it is not obvious to a majority of Americans. All congressmen getting bribed fits in that same category. Cynical pessimists.

Mitch McConnel is not your U. S. Representative.

I never believe partisan trash media unless I can verify it in real news sources. I can't find any FEC reports about this contribution.

The news source, en Volve, sounds just like your JPP posts:

Nope, I went to the source from your article--the FEC. No such contribution that I could find. I don't depend on any left or right leaning sources.

Most of the stories listed by JPP posters are from very biased sources. The readers of en Volve attacked the story for using a Republican (McConnell) .

There are many areas we can take a step forward on, just yesterday 12 Republicans joined the Democrats in caughtfying same sex marriage in case the regressive Supreme Court wants to take more of our rights away. We can move forward with coming up with policies that would not let so much of our nations wealth, stagnate with just a few families, and in the process, set up a system that would reward hard work, ingenuity, imagination and entrepreneurial work.

The Democrats have already ended the stupid wars.
Interestingly, the repeal of Roe versus Wade has resulted in every state that allow the people to decide to codify abortion rights. We have yet to win the fight for common sense regulation of weapons designed for mass murder, but I think we might soon.


I do not know yet what’s next, but almost every issue by cared about when I started paying attention to politics has come full circle and is basically settled now.

no, but that was a good one, and its a permanently dead issue. Even a good percent of Republicans are accepting it. I remember when such a thing was out of the question, even for Democrats.

Oh, I think massive upward mobility is on its way now that the Democrats have cemented the new benchmark. Once the money is no longer frozen with a few families and available for those who are smart and willing to work hard there will be massive upward mobility, and people like Ivanka will not be able to rest on the ill gotten spoils of their fathers and grandfathers.
