Trump's proposal is "merit based" immigration- from whatever country -only allowing immigration
( except asylum) for those with skills that can support themselves or contribute to the economy

All you have to read are responses from Trump supporters on this board, and listen to Trump crowds chanting "send her back" to have even a passing familiarity that Trumpian immigration philosophy is predicated on keeping people from shithole countries out, and promoting immigration from the Aryan Master Race countries.

Don't take my word for it. Those are the words straight from Trump's lips.

In 1924, the shithole countries and groups our immigration law targeted for exclusion were Jews, Asians, and Slavs. That law cost some of my relatives dearly.

Today, Trumpian xenophobia considers Mexicans, Central Americans, Haitians, and Africans to be from shit hole countries - Trump talks disparagingly about Nigerians living in their huts, Sudanese living in hellholes of squalor.

It's a different decade - but you xenophobes have just changed your minds about which shithole countries and shit hole people you want to exclude from your vision of White Christian America

The official White House position is in support of Merit based immigration. I assume that's good enough proof ?
