Rather like your attitude to them, what? Hey, sailor, I bet you never realised this. Russia is a big country and has a population of 143 million. Some are crooks, some are loonies, some are just ordinary people. Rather like America or anywhere else. Were you to have watched UK TV in the bush years you might have been privileged to have witnessed even worse.
So really, you do not have a story. You may laugh, you may drool much as the mentally ill might react to the passing of the seasons or the opening of a flower but you have no valid point.
Russia has Vladimir Putin.

What do you expect from a country dominated by conservatives?

Overall yes. Russia needs a good intermediate between republican democracy and dictatorship, and Putin is the best for that.
You understand Russian?
It is being run by the KGB and kleptocratic oligarchs.
The KGB doesn't exist anymore. As far as the oligarchs are concerned, democracy needs to be slow with somewhere such as Russia. Minor reforms and slow transitions are better for long term stability.
Oh ok, they renamed it the FSB. So what, the ex-head of the KGB runs Russia and also controls the FSB, I'll leave you to make the connection. I would also remind you of the Litvinenko case.

Yes, I'm well aware. Though the FSB is only involved in domestic matters. There are other agencies for other things. Second, the Duma and Medvedev technically control Russia.
Yeah, its too bad that Medvedev doesn't have the balls to be his own man.
