Hate to say it, but in true Russian character, Putin views the war as one of attrition, eventually the West will grow tired of pouring billions into the Ukraine, can see that developing here, and without the aid, the Ukraine will fall. He is an autocrat at home, is in full control, and isn’t overly concerned about what the Russian people feel or want
