Yes, so the hospital must charge more to make up that difference. When they charge more the insurance companies must pay more for those they have insured. When insurance companies have to pay more, they must charge more for their policies. Probably why healthcare in this country costs twice what it does in other developed countries and a simple surgery like an appendectomy costs about 5-10 times more than anywhere else.

Like the analogy of the frogs in the pot of water about to boil. The democratic frogs are all saying "it's getting mighty hot in here we better get out and turn off the heat", then you have the republican frogs in there saying "we can't, that would mean "socializing" medicine and that is a bad word".

One thing about the American Healthcare system!
Insurance companies are making huge profits,and Medicare customers are their bread and butter!
Or they wouldn't offer Medicare supplement plans with no premium.

No they did not have all the power. They had enough to pass a watered down version of what they wanted which caused a massive spike in the number of insured but not what they would have liked. The number of insured in this country jumped from about 250 million to about 290 million shortly after the affordable care act went into effect. Republicans did everything in their power to stop it while dumbfucks like you are claiming 33 million were left uninsured? Now you claim it did not go far enough? What a fucking jackass!
